Sterling GoldenโCocky football star. Rich Playboy with a secret. Guy Iโd most like to throat-punch. The cherry on top? Iโm stuck pretending to be this d-bagโs girl for the next few months.
When I spotted him sneaking out the Deanโs windowโa woman whose reputation precedes herโI couldโve minded my business. But itโs not every day you catch your nemesis in such a compromising position, so I did what any self-respecting person wouldโve done.
I added fuel to the scandal that ignited, then laughed while the cops hauled him off in nothing but handcuffs and his boxers.
Of course, the arrogant prick found a way to rope me into the lie that got him out of trouble. Which means the only way I come out of this unscathed is to go along with it, pretend weโre a thing.
Most girls would kill to be on the arm of a Golden triplet, but Iโm counting down the days until itโs over. In public, we give the city the show they craveโa chance to witness their local bad boy falling in love. But when weโre alone, the gloves come off and we give each other hell.
Only, who knew exchanging insults and cruelty could feel a bit likeโฆ foreplay?
Thereโs an expiration date on this arrangement, but as we turn up the heat to convince our city this โrelationshipโ is the real deal, Sterling and I sometimes forget that it isnโt. He might think his recent fall from grace was a disaster, but if he makes me regret this, I swear Iโll make his life a living hell.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twiceโฆ your belongings might mysteriously catch fire.
Consider this your final warning, Mr. Silver, because itโs the only one youโll get.

Mr. Silver is a full-length standalone novel (roughly 100k words). This book can absolutely be read on its own, but for the sake of flow and clarity, itโs recommended that you start with book one, THE GOLDEN BOYS (a bully romance trilogy within this series).
Do you love the frustratingly hot push and pull of a good enemies-to-lovers romance? Then youโll love getting to know Sterling and Lexi. Due to adult themes and sexual situations, this oneโs only for the 18+ crowd.

Romance: ๐๐๐คโค๏ธ๐

Story/Plot: ๐๐๐๐๐
World building: ๐๐๐๐๐
Character development: โบ๏ธ๐คฌ๐ฅต๐๐ฅฐ
The heroine: Lexi Rodriguez – Her father is a drunk that often makes promises and doesnโt follow through. This left Lexi with a feeling of abandonment and the belief that men will always disappoint her.
The Hero(s): Sterling Golden (a.k.a. Mr. Silver) – One of the Golden Triplets (the kings of Cypress Pointe). He is the silent one, not because he is shy but because he isnโt unnecessarily outspoken like his brothers West (King Midas) and Dane (Pretty Boy D).
The Story: When they were Freshmen, Lexi and Sterling were partners on a project and became friendly. Lexi had a huge crush on Sterling and was let down by him after she opened herself up to him. Since then she has pretty much ignored his existence until she finds him in a compromising position.
I read the first two books in this series Golden Boys and Never His Girl. I absolutely loved the โGossip Girlโ angle. Iโll admit to not watching the recent remake/redo of Gossip Girl but I have binged the original more than once. After the last book I guessed that Pandora was either Joss or possibly Sterling (these are total guesses and in no way spoilers). Midway through this book I am leaning toward Joss and Sterling seems out of the running completely. Though Like I said, I never read Joss and Daneโs book, Pretty Boy D so it is possible that Joss was taken out of the running in that book and I just donโt know it.
The chemistry between Sterling and Lexi was explosive and things between them heated up pretty fast. They start out in a classic fake relationship and it isnโt long before each starts to really feel things. There is friendship, jealousy, romance and more. There are also a few secrets just to make things more interesting, like what Sterling was doing at the Deanโs house on the night Lexi caught him leaving nearly naked. I really enjoyed every bit of this one.
The one thing I didnโt understand or maybe it was due to me not reading the last two books or forgetting some of the ones I did read. Or maybe I just missed a part of this book, was at the beginning when Lexi is thinking about the night of the Monster Bash four years ago, she said that was the night she met her best friend, Tequila. Then nothing is said about Tequila for the rest of the book.
Pandora isnโt the only supporting character that adds to this story. There are Sterlingโs brothers, West and Dane, as well as their girls and Lexiโs best friend Dez who has a bunch of secrets of her own. Lexiโs stepfather Benny, her boss, her ex-boyfriend, a guy named Cole who Lexi put in his place, showing what a badass she is, and last but not least the triplets cousin Ricky Ruiz (a.k.a. SeXyBeAsT). I canโt wait until the next book to find out more about him.
Later, Peeps!

Ummm . . . for the tequila thing . . . she doesn’t mean tequila as a person in the first chapter – it’s tequila the drink that she’s talking about. Your review confused me, because I wasn’t sure if you were referring to tequila as a character. In case you were, let me clarify – Lexi is saying the drink tequila became her “best friend.”

By the way, the comment I left above was in no way intended to be a hate comment. I was just clarifying for both of us, because I was somewhat confused. I also loved #Mr Silver as a book, and my thoughts were very similar to your review after I read it.

Ha! I get it now. That one flew right past me when I was reading the book. I believe in the book she also said it like I did as a play on a name. Which is why I thought that. Thanks for the clarification.
