Audiobook Review: Felony Ever After. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Felony Ever After by Helena Hunting

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen a cab is not a normal way to meet someone. But damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

🔥

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering.

🤴🏻

As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together. Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection?

👩‍❤️‍👨

Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

The heroine: Verity Michaels – works for a guy named Larold Lay who is quite a character. He likes to drop his pen on the floor and make her bend over to pick it up. He also gets deliveries on a regular basis from a bike messenger service.

The Hero(es): Hudson Fenn – works for a bike messenger service. Delivers strange bedazzled packages to Larold Lay on a daily basis.

The Story: Verity shares a cab with a tattooed hot guy, who steals the cab while she is in it. She later meets the Tattooed guy at her office when he delivers a package to her boss. She meets him a few times after that in odd circumstances and they go on a date.

This was an odd one, each chapter written by a different author. Authors like Vi Keeland, Tijan, Penelope Ward, JM Darhower and Helena Hunting to name a few. I like this idea, it made for a corny but surprisingly good story.

The story is intermingled with witty tweets and funny hashtags as Verity posts to her twitter feed on a regular basis without any filter. A lot of references to the package that her boss gets daily because verify is dying to know what is inside. When Hudson starts tweeting back, it is fantastic! I followed them both on Twitter.

This was told from Verity’s POV and the narrator was a woman, Rose Dioro. I have heard her before, she is good at the rom-com narration. She has a nice voice and I enjoyed listening to this one. I am liking audiobooks more an more lately. I don’t have to stop reading to do things. This was a perfect book to listen to while multi-tasking. Very light and humorous, while Hudson was super sexy and the intimate scenes were scorchingly hot!
