Peaches McPhee had no idea how much her life would change when she was hired to write the tell-all memoir for The Duke of Mayhem, a royal who went rogue to become a major rock star. But never in her wildest dreams had she expected that in eight short months she’d become his bride, pregnant with the next heir to the House of Quinn. It was every fairy tale come true, but a nightmare looms over their happily ever after. Peaches and Auggie have made some powerful enemies along the way, not the least of which is Christopher Tyler – her former colleague and someone who had betrayed her trust in one of the worst ways possible. His hatred of her burns as bright as ever. He cannot wait to snatch away her happy ending, or anything else that might mean anything to her. Things only get worse when he joins forces with Cillian Byrne, who has an entire kingdom to gain if he can drive Auggie once again from Aldayne. Will Peaches find the strength and determination to redeem the House of Quinn and get Auggie to the throne… or will she finally bring about its ruin? Exclusive Excerpt:

It was then I first saw my Auggie, standing there at the end of the aisle in full uniform, including the kilt he wore in the Quinn tartan, his saber at his side as he stood proud and tall next to Gav and Archer, waiting for my approach. Our eyes that had been desperately seeking each other met at the same time and I could tell by the look on his face that Auggie was as overwhelmed as I was by that moment. A choir began to sing as I crossed into the sanctuary, but all I could see was my future husband, who held his hand to heart as I approached. We finally met at the altar of that grand church, under the cascading rainbows of all the glass panes overhead and the dramatic stained glass in front of us that depicted Jesus Christ rising in all his glory. I passed my bouquet off to my little sister, Dallas, winking at Dash as he followed Fern and Audra to be seated at the side. I stopped in front of the two prayer kneelers that were adorned in regal purple velvet. The song continued around us, but all I saw were those green eyes of the man I had come to love so much. I didn’t give a hoot about protocol as I reached for his hand. He smiled as he took it. This was our day. We made the rules.

About Ginger Voight:

Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with nearly thirty published novels. Having covered everything from travel to politics as a nonfiction freelancer, she is unafraid to explore multiple genres like romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” mainstream fiction with surprising depth. Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car. In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga. In 2011, she embarked on a new journey–to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These “Rubenesque” romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the “reality-TV” preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge. Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, curvy or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they’ll never forget.
