Awesome even the second time around.
King and Doe’s story is completely off the hook and totally unpredictable. That was one thing I really liked about this book. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, something completely unexpected occurred.
Doe goes back to her old life at the beginning of this book while still having amnesia, she eventually starts to remember bits and pieces of her old life, but very slowly, like she will remember one person and just a few random memories of that person. So she still doesn’t know her history or what happened to make her lose her memory.
Meanwhile, King is dealing with issues of his own. Though he escaped the hitman posing as an officer that grabbed him when Doe was taken home, he still can’t be with her because a very dangerous man is after him and Bear. Preppy also keeps making appearances as King keeps hearing Prep’s commentary in his mind since they were friends for so long, he knows what Prep would say in any given situation.
There are quite a few shockers in this book which is awesome. So much that you just don’t expect. I loved it.
