Review: Monstrous Cravings (Cherished Omegaverse, #1). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Monstrous Cravings by Ember Nicole

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Three monsters saved me. They made me their captive. Now they’re determined to keep me.

An attack by a mugger should have left me dead in a New York alley. But then they stepped in and saved me…

Three eight-foot-tall monsters with long black horns, wicked sharp claws, and barbed tails. One of them ate him. My mugger, that is. But that isn’t all they did. They took me to their world, stuck me in a cage, and they’re showing no indication they intend to let me go. Ever.

Now, I’m their captive with no idea why they’d abduct me. The longer I stay, the more my questions grow. Not only about what these monsters want, but why they’re turning out be sweeter than any man on Earth. In the midst of all this confusing behavior, I’d also like to know why I’m suddenly having spicy dreams about them hot enough to make me blush.

Escape isn’t going to be easy. And even if it was possible, why does it feel like a bond is forming between my captors and me? Shame not all the monsters in this world like the idea of me sticking around. Or even about me breathing.

Can my monsters save me again?

Romance: 💙🖤💜❤️💖
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😟🤭😤😘🥰

The heroine: Arden – after her mom died and her childhood boyfriend broke up with her, she left Idaho and moved to New York. However, years later, after a holiday party where she did nothing but work, a mugger with a gun pushes her down a dark alley and takes her purse. Though when the mugger gets mad at her and threatens her further, a monster raises up from behind him saves Arden by eating the mugger whole. She thinks he is about to eat her as well when she passes out.

The Heroes: Bosek, Orahsh & Lasar – They are 8 feet tall with tough skin, tough claws, and deadly tails. They are from a place called Khular and they recently found a portal to Earth.
Bosek – Prime of all Mostiri and head of the nest of three. The Mostiri left their dying home of Mostirin and came to Khular to live. Though none had found their fated mates while living on Khular.
Orahsh – he is the smallest and weakest of the three (still larger than any earth male) and he usually doesn’t fight with Bosek or Lasar, but he tells them if they don’t keep the female, they will suffer from bond sickness and die.
Lasar – He is a quiet one, rarely speaking unless he has something important to say. He likes to sit back and listen with a smirk on his face.

The Story: Arden wakes up in a 3 by 3-foot golden cage that is hanging in a dark hall somewhere that doesn’t look like it is anywhere on Earth. Meanwhile Bosek, Orahsh and Lasar are outside the hall arguing about the fact that they took Arden from Earth. Though they have often used the purple stones to open portals to other worlds where they hope to find the one female that can complete them. Bosek wants to return her to her world, but Orahsh thinks she is their Ri’ashi (fated mate).

One thing I didn’t like about this story was when Arden just starts getting used to her new home, she decides she wants nothing more than to go home. She is afraid that if she can’t smell roses, she will forget her mother because roses remind her of her mom. It is just stupid because she was all alone on Earth and didn’t really like her life, so what is she so worried about going back for? She had already started to bond with Orahsh and she like Lasar too, so why wouldn’t she rather stay with them then go back to her old life. I was glad it didn’t take her too long to realize the same thing.

Another thing I didn’t like was the fact that they were eight feet tall, and she was just 5’2”. It was just too much of a difference. Like an adult and a child. Why not make her at least 5’9 or make them seven feet tall instead of eight? The height difference bothered me, especially since the monsters’ appendages were anatomically correct proportionate to their size. It was just too weird for me. But I did like how gentle they were with her and how they were very romantic.
