Review: Storm (Reed Security, #18) by Giulia Lagomarsino. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Storm by Giulia Lagomarsino

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Storm
I had one job, get Jessica “Rabbit” Finley to sell her property to Reed Security. I could do that. I was Army Strong. Hell, I took down bad guys for a living. I could handle this sexy vixen. No problem. Except, she’s a little crazy. She thinks that there are ghosts on her property, and she has the men at Reed Security believing her too. But then I found out her history and it had me wondering….Was she really crazy?

Jessica
I’ve never known who I really am. My family history has been contorted into something that I can only hope to unravel in my lifetime. But then I got a clue that led me to buy this creepy insane asylum. I was told there were answers here and I’m finding them, along with ghosts that still haunt this estate. There’s an upside, though. There’s a sexy man here to keep me company. But the closer I get to finding my answers, the closer I get to being locked up in the asylum myself.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💜💚💖
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 😠☺️😋🥰😎

The heroine: Jessica (a.k.a. Little Rabbit) – when she was 12, her loving mother was taken away to an asylum when her great-grandfather said she was ill. She grew up living with distant relatives and now that she is older she is looking into her past. She knows her grandmother and mother both spent years in an asylum and her mother killed herself. When she finds out that there are secrets, she buys the abandoned asylum her grandmother was committed to in an effort to find answers.

The Hero: Storm (a.k.a. Thunders) – he has been working for Reed Security for over a year now, when he meets Jessica for the first time, he loves the way she looks and compares her to a real-life Jessica Rabbit. When Reed Security wants to buy the land next to their headquarters, Cap asks Storm and Tony Tacos to get to know the owner who is renovating the old house on the property, which happened to have been used as an insane asylum until closing down in the 1980’s.

The Story: Jessica is only too happy to get two new boarders in her house to help out with the renovations while she checks out the place for clues to her past. She warns them about the fact that there have been ghosts since she has been hearing some strange noises and things have been moving when she is nowhere near them. Though Storm doesn’t believe in ghosts and thinks Jessica is a bit crazy herself, Tony Taco’s is definitely not happy about there being ghosts.

This book was the quintessential Reed Security book. It was funny, sexy, and I just love coming back to this series after being away for a while. I love all the guys and gals of this series so much. The guys are over the top possessive alpha males and the girls are all fun and a bit crazy, but it is a family and like no other series I have found. There is so much humor and there is always a mystery and danger which I love. You just couldn’t ask for more in a story.

This was one of the funniest of the series, I was laughing like crazy especially at Storm’s escapades and the scene where Storm and Jessica are drunk was just so hilarious. It was so funny that I had to stop myself from highlighting every funny quote in the book.
