Audiobook Review: Anarchy (Hades, #2). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Anarchy by Tate James

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Five years ago, I made a choice that I haven’t regretted a day since. I protected the single most important person in my world, my little sister. I protected myself, and I seized control of the Tri-state Timberwolves.

Since then, I’ve wielded that power with an iron fist. Done whatever it took to take care of my people. Kept us out of the public eye, and kept us safe.

Now a ghost from my past is threatening my position. Challenging me. Peddling their poison and breaking my rules. Stabbing at me in the dark.

Blowing up my fucking club.

But this last attack has taken it one step too far. They have no idea the lengths I’ll go to protect what is mine. And Lucas? He’s mine.

They want anarchy? They haven’t seen anything yet.

A bloody, violent life!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💜❤️🖤

Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔

Narration Type: Duet Narration

The heroine: Hayden Darling Timber (a.k.a. Hades, a.k.a. Daria Wolfe, a.k.a. Dare) – after killing her father and everyone loyal to him, including her own fiancée five years ago, she took over the Tri-state Timberwolves crime syndicate and became CEO of a multi-billion dollar business. Hayden has also been raising and protecting her younger sister whom her father had been about to sell into sexual slavery at the tender age of 13. But now someone from her past is after her, and that someone knows things about her that only a few people knew.

The Heroes: Lucas, Cass, Zed – Lucas is a good guy, he is only eighteen years old and supporting his family as a male stripper. Cass is the head of the Shadow Grove Reapers, one of the gangs who works for Hades. Zed is Hayden’s oldest friend and right hand man who has been acting odd lately, like he may be jealous.

The Story: Lucas has been hooking up with Hades and though he works at one of her clubs, he is a bit obsessed with her. Cass has wanted Hades for years, but he is eleven years older than her 23 years and always felt that he was too old for her, though recently he has stopped trying to fight the attraction. While Zed and Hayden have been friends for years and there was attraction between them in the past, they have just been friends and professionals for years.

The first book was good at giving all the background information on each of the characters and the past events that led to the situation currently at hand. Hayden is aware that there is someone following her, watching her and baiting her. That person has also been setting up Hades and the gangs that work for her. They have been dealing angel dust and have paid off many of the police that used to be in her pocket.

This book had a lot more action than the last, there were more explosions, car chases, beatings and all kinds of mystery and intrigue. I liked the fact that Hayden’s relationship with each of the guys is different and unique, and how each of the males has their own distinct personality and voice. Lucas just wants Hayden and whatever part of her she wants to give him, and he gives her peace. Cass is a tall tatted gang leader and Hayden can be submissive to him in the bedroom. Zed is rock steady and someone Hades can always count on.

Narrated via Duet Narration by Noelle Bridges and Lucas Webley. Noelle has the perfect voice for Hayden, who is feminine and unsure of herself at times and hard as steel at times. Noelle is able to put all kinds of emotions into her voice and does a terrific job at it. Lucas has a deep and sexy voice which is great and does different inflections for each of the men.
