Audiobook Review: When a Liger Mates (Lion’s Pride, #10). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When a Liger Mates by Eve Langlais

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“My aunts are going to kill me.”

Lawrence is in trouble. That’s nothing new. What is unexpected is how he accidentally ends up mated to a human.

Oops.

To make matters worse for this tomcat, Charlotte has no idea what he is, and when he finally shows her his majestic liger shape? She is less than impressed and dares to ask if he’s up to date on his shots. As if her lack of respect isn’t enough, she doesn’t believe they can have a happily ever after.

How to make her understand she’s the only woman with the power to make him purr?

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 🤓☹️😙🥰
Narrator: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Solo Narration

The Hero: Lawrence – he is a Liger and a confirmed bachelor. He planned to be single forever though he loved the ladies and there is no place better to pick up a woman than a wedding. So when his good friend Dean ties the knot for real in Russia. Lawrence is on the prowl. He sees a cute and awkward woman.

The heroine: Charlotte – she is a human and works for a catering company. She can tend to be clumsy so she usually does dishes, but they were short on staff so she had to do waitressing. She is small and some of the people at the wedding called her ‘fun sized’ which pissed her off and she nearly dropped her tray, when a handsome man caught both her and the tray at the last minute.

The Story: Charlotte used to work for a marketing firm, until she quit and went on a trip to Russia to find her brother who traveled Europe saying he was working on a special project, but was last seen in Russia seven months ago. She has been working for the caterer to try to make enough money for the trip back home to the U.S. When the man that saved her from falling starts to flirt with her. She goes back to the kitchen and does the dishes for the rest of the night.

Troy Duran did the narration and I very rarely listen to books that are solo narration, but I really like Troy Duran, so I grabbed books 9-12 of this series. I like something different every once in a while and there aren’t many Liger shifter books out there, so here we are. I like Troys super deep voice and he does women’s voices pretty well.

I liked the back story of Charlotte, in Russia looking for her missing brother. She meets Lawrence when she is about to give up, but doesn’t quite know where to go. All her belongings were in a storage unit in the states that burned down, so she doesn’t know if she should stay, go back or go somewhere new when she gets enough money. The romance in this one was good as well and there was a ton of chemistry between the two main characters.
