Surrender to the Cyborgs by Grace Goodwin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Wrongly imprisoned whistle-blower Rachel Pierce would rather take her chances with her court appeal than accept her place as the first Interstellar Bride destined for the Colony. She’s stubborn and determined to seek justice—and her freedom—on Earth…but her mates are not willing to risk her life or her future on a system they believe to be both primitive and corrupt.
Surrender to the Cyborgs
Maxim of Prillon Prime fought ten long years in the Hive wars. Captured and tortured with his second, Ryston, they escaped only to be rejected by their own people and condemned to life on the Colony with the other “contaminated” cyborg warriors. As leader of Sector 3, it’s Maxim’s duty to set an example for his warriors and summon a bride. When she refuses transport, he can’t allow her rejection to demoralize an entire planet of battle hardened but jaded warriors. Maxim and Ryston transport to Earth where they decide she’s theirs and a maximum security human prison will not keep them apart.
Getting Rachel to the Colony is only the first challenge they will face. Convincing their beautiful mate to surrender to not one, but two dominant warriors is another. Even if they can win her love, a new evil is rising on the Colony and someone close to Maxim will be its first victim. Maxim will be its second, unless Rachel’s love and relentless pursuit of the truth proves strong enough to save him
Two alien mates!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 😚🙂😁
The heroine: Rachel – she found that her company was doing some very unethical things and she was about to tell the world, when she found that she was framed for being behind it all. She was sentenced to prison and her lawyer feared that she would be murdered in prison so she had no other choice than to become an interstellar bride and be transported off the planet.
The Heroes: Maxim, Ryston – Maxim is the governor of one of the sectors on the colony where all the people who have been formerly prisoner on hive ships are sent by their governments. Due to them being “Contaminated” with hive technology. Ryston is his second and was also a warrior from Prillon Prime.
The Story: After Maxim and Ryston successfully rescued Rachel from Prison, they were transported to the colony where they begin to get to know each other. They soon discover there is a mystery surrounding the death of a former navy seal from Earth who was somehow poisoned and died in front of them.
Rachel uses her skills as a medical researcher in order to try to get to the bottom of what it was that poisoned the Navy Seal whom also had hive technology integrated into his DNA. She needed to find the answer fast since Maxim was now showing similar symptoms as the Navy Seal.
This book was told in multiple points of view via dual narration where the female narrator did all the voices within the chapters told in Rachel’s point of view and the male narrators did all the voices in the chapters that were told in Maxim and Ryson’s points of view. The narration was done by Heather Firth, Jakobi Diem and Stephen Dexter who all did a great job and all of them had very pleasant voices.
The story was good, though not great. I liked that there was the mystery rather than just an alien smut fest, though there were plenty of intimate scenes. This book did set up the series going forward which I enjoyed. Though I don’t like the idea of the claiming ceremony that they have on the colony. I am not one for public sex.
