Audiobook Review: Taken By Her Mates (Interstellar Brides Program, #4). ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Taken By Her Mates by Grace Goodwin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After being set up and found guilty of a crime she didn’t commit, Jessica volunteers for the Interstellar Bride Program to avoid a lengthy prison sentence. She is assigned to a prince, the heir to the throne of the powerful planet Prillon, but her future is left in doubt when the match is rejected by Prillon’s current ruler.

When his own father seeks to banish him and deny him his right to a mate, Prince Nial takes matters into his own hands. Accompanied by a battle-tested warrior who volunteers as his second, he sets out for Earth to take what is his, but upon his arrival he quickly discovers that the same horrifying enemies who once took him captive now hunt his mate as well.

Though believing she has been rejected by a mate she never even met stings more deeply than she would like to admit, Jessica does her best to focus on the dangerous task of bringing down the people who framed her. But before long, her world is turned upside down all over again when two huge, handsome aliens save her life and then inform her that she is their matched mate and they have come to Earth to claim her.

Jessica is far from ready to meekly submit, but she soon learns that her new mates expect to be obeyed and defiance will result in a painful, embarrassing spanking on her bare bottom. Despite her fury at such treatment, however, she cannot hide her arousal as she is stripped bare and thoroughly mastered by the fierce, dominant warriors. But when Prince Nial is forced to defend his birthright, will Jessica do what must be done to aid him, even if that means allowing his entire world to bear witness as she is taken by her mates?

Publisher’s Note: Taken by Her Mates is a stand-alone book set in the same world as Assigned a Mate, Mated to the Warriors, and Claimed by Her Mates. It is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Probed by aliens!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙
Heat: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 😟😒😚

The heroine: Jessica – she was ex-military and after that she was an investigative reporter before being framed for a crime she didn’t commit and given a choice to go to jail or join the Interstellar Brides program where she will be sent to another galaxy to be married off to an alien. Things went wrong when she was rejected by the Prillan Prime ruler.

The Heroes: Nial and Ander – Prince Nial was the son of the Prillan Prime ruler who denied him access to his matched mate from the Interstellar Brides program and sought to banish him from the planet, since he had been captive of the hive and implanted (contaminated) with hive technology. So he, along with his second, Ander, go to Earth to locate their mate.

The Story: When Jessica finds that she was rejected, she also finds out that there are no laws or policies for what happened to her. She was already processed at the Interstellar Brides program so she was free, had already had a language translator implanted in her head, which she got to keep.

Since Jessica was supposed to go off world, her house and possessions had been sold. So She decides to go after the corrupt cops and politicians who framed her. She got to be a ghost since she wasn’t supposed to be on Earth any longer. She had a contact in Europe and decided to go there to investigate who framed her.

The book had a decent story, but a bit too many intimate scenes for my tastes. I like a bit more story with my smut.
