Audiobook Review: Saved by the Warrior Hero (Lunarian Warriors, #3). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Saved by the Warrior Hero by Roxie Ray

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

There’s no man I can trust …

👩🏻‍🚀

I may not be locked up on a slave ship anymore, but I still bear the scars. I miss my life on Earth, but I don’t know how I can go back after what was done to me. The Rutharians took everything, and now all I’m able to see are threats. One of my rescuers, Nion, wants to protect me, but I can’t let him get close. I won’t let myself be taken again.

👽

When the Lunarians promise to take me home and wipe my memory of everything that’s happened, I couldn’t be happier … but the longer I stay with them, the more I discover the wonders of the universe, and the more I begin to fall for Nion. I never knew an alien warrior could be so gentle with me, and despite my trauma I want him to claim me.

🛸

While Nion is gentle with me, he’s still a dedicated warrior and he’s determined to avenge his murdered brother. No matter how close we seem, can I really be his priority when he’s spent years seeking his revenge? And do I have the strength to be a warrior’s mate? I just want to go home, but I need to decide if that home is on Earth … or with Nion.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🪐🛸🚀☄️
Character development: 🤖👽🥰👽

The heroine: Alyse – a human female who was abducted from Earth and taken captive by the Rutharian king. Alyse first met the Rutharian king when she was six years old when she refused to go with him and He killed her parents. She comes from a wealthy family and became a doctor before the king returned to Earth and stole her away.

The Hero(es): Nion – A young Lunarian Warrior who made friends with Sawyer from the last book. He is determined to get revenge against the Rutharian who killed his brother. He is a great guy who takes care of his mother and treats human females as people when a lot of others see them as nothing more than wombs for their children.

The Story: Nion leads the raid on the Rutharian ship and saves Alyse from being raped yet again. When they get back to the Lunarian ship, Alyse refuses to be tested for pregnancy because she knows she can’t handle the results. Nion feels desire for Alyse but knows that a human female as beautiful as her would have her pick of wealthy Lunarians and noblemen. Nion is a lowly soldier from nowhere and has nothing of his own, so he knows if he falls for her, he will inevitably lose her.

The book was narrated by Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister in dual points of view and dual narration. I really like these two narrators. Sierra has a great voice for females and she does a low voice for the male characters that actually sounds male. Logan has a great deep voice which was perfect for Nion.

I liked both of these characters. Nion worries a bit about the fact that he is a poor soldier who doesn’t own any land and can’t provide for her like the wealthy elite of Lunaria, but he doesn’t sulk about it and it doesn’t go on and on. He wants Alyse and allows himself to go after what he wants. Alyse is a strong character who has a bit of PTSD but she bounces back from what happened to her fairly quickly. There is a big surprise later in the book which I couldn’t have guessed so that was nice. This was the best book of the series so far and I did purchase the next four.
