Unravel Me by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Psychology student Ashlyn Drake’s neat, orderly life takes a turn for the crazy when she finds the perfect subject for her amnesia thesis – a young man without any memory of his previous life, including the murder he’s accused of committing.
Against all common sense, Ashlyn’s drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Perhaps it’s that he’s so incredibly male, and even handcuffed to his hospital bed he could pass for a cologne ad – Scent de Insanity. Or perhaps it’s because she’s spent too many lonely nights studying. Either way, she’s determined to help him solve the mystery of his past. She begins to unravel who he was before, using his cryptic tattoos, and his paintings that scream of a dark past as her only clues. When she finally learns his secret there’s no telling which one is the real him, the gentle lover she’s fallen for or the troubled man with a dark past.

The heroine(s): Ashlyn Drake – a psychology grad student. Ashlyn has been too busy for any relationships in the last few years. She has bad memories from her past, so is interested in amnesia for her thesis paper.
The Hero: John Doe (a.k.a. Logan) – he is in his early twenties and is suffering from complete amnesia. He was found standing over the body of a man who had been beaten to death and is in the hospital and under arrest for the murder.
The Story: Ashlyn takes on Logan as a case study for her thesis. When nobody comes out to claim they knew who Logan was despite news coverage of his situation, Ashlyn works with Logan to try and recover his memories. Ashlyn finds herself extremely attracted to Logan.
When the charges are dropped and Logan gets out of the hospital, he has nowhere to go but to Ashlyn since she was the one person that helped him while everyone else had treated him like a dangerous criminal.
Ashlyn and Logan had tons of chemistry and not a lot of self restraint. This was extremely steamy and had an interesting storyline to boot. It held my interest throughout and I listened to it in one sitting. The book was told mostly in Ashlyn’s point of view which was narrated very well by Leah Mallach, and Sean Chrisden narrated a bit.
