Audiobook ARC Review: The Billionaire (Dalton Brothers, #2). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Billionaire by Marni Mann

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’ve always been a good girl.

But the second I walk into the hotel bar, I see temptation.

The man sitting there is delicious. Older. Experienced. Once our eyes meet, I know I’m not walking away unscathed. I’ve heard about men like Jenner Dalton—richer than God and hotter than sin. He’s got heartbreak written all over him.

But it only takes fifteen minutes before we’re headed up to his room.

I’ve never done anything like this before, but something tells me he’s worth it. Every swipe of his tongue feels electric, every kiss sets me on fire and his experience has me begging for more.

And more.

And more.

In one week, I’ll return to college in Miami.

He’ll go back to being LA’s most eligible billionaire.

The miles and years between us are just too many for this to mean anything.

So, between now and then, I plan to spend every moment being anything but good …

The Billionaire

Back to real life after a vacation romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💛🖤💜💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😳☺️😍🥰

The heroine(s): Joanna (a.k.a. Jo) – she is a good girl who lives in Miami and goes to college there as well. During spring break, she and her girlfriends go to Las Vegas for vacation.

The Hero: Jenner – a billionaire and a lawyer, Jenner doesn’t want to settle down. He is a high profile lawyer and eligible bachelor in Los Angeles. He loves women but his work is the star in his life. He, his brothers, and friends go to Las Vegas for March Madness every year.

The Story: Jenner meets Jo in a sports bar and the attraction between them is hot from the start. Jenner is not only attracted to her body, but her mind as well. She knows sports and betting and impresses him. They take things to the next level within minutes and again within a few hours.

I listened to this in Audiobook format, which I got from Netgalley. The book was told in dual POV by dual narrators, which I love. It bothers me when romances are done with only one narrator. The narration was done by Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro. Both did a fine job, I looked and they each have done narration for hundreds of books.

However, there was some things about the narration that got on my nerves a bit. Tim Paige has a cadence that I didn’t love and Kelsey Navarro sounds older than Jo who is in college. Though I didn’t hate the narration either. I read my review for book one from this series, which was fine by the same two narrators and I liked them much better for those characters.

Jenner and Jo had chemistry like crazy and this wasn’t your standard “meet in Vegas” romance. Though the two of them definitely treated it as a vacation. I enjoyed the fact that they each go home to their respective cities and can’t stop thinking about each other.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
