Audiobook Review: Good Girl (Wicked, #1) by Piper Lawson. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good Girl by Piper Lawson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I wanted to fall for a man. Instead I fell for a legend…

The month I wrote my first piece of code, Jax Jamieson launched his third platinum album.

The week I drank my first beer, he spent in jail.

The day I got under his skin, I wound up on his tour.

And the night he gave me his hoodie…

I fell in love forever.

Good Girl

Romance with the Rock God!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💛🖤💜💙❤️
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌏
Character development: 😕🤬🤯😎🥰

The Hero: Jax Jamieson – Rock God, alpha-male, richer than sin. He is the bad boy of rock and roll with a secret that the world doesn’t know. He is the lead singer of Riot Act, one of the biggest bands in the world.

The heroine(s): Haley Telfer – her mom passed away last year and she took a semester off. She lost her scholarship and now is a junior in college and trying to work her way through college. Hailey is a computer programmer and loves the music industry. Jax Jamieson is her ideal. She applies for an internship at Wicked Records where Jax has a recording contract.

The Story: When Haley arrives at Wicked Records for the first day of her internship, she immediately has a run in with her idol Jax Jamieson and is put on his tour. She has to complete the internship for her degree program so finds herself on the bus within no time.

Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood did the narration and did a great job. I have listened to quite a few audiobooks with each of these narrators and they are two of my favorites. Their voices fit the characters well and it was an enjoyable listen.

The story was a bit more complex than some of the rockstar romance books I have read before. I do love the rockstars on tour trope and Piper Lawson did it well. I liked the intricacies of the plot as well. Jax has issues at home and wants to quit touring and he also is blocked and can’t write anything good anymore, though he is contractually obliged to do one more album. Haley has her own issues, since her mother died she has been trying to find her biological father and she is trying to create a new kind of music app for one of her classes.
