Review/Release Blitz: Jock Romeo (Jock Hard, #6).

JOCK ROMEO

Sara Ney

Release Date: December 9

HE IS THIS STORIES LEAST LIKELY ROMEO.

Roman Whitaker is every girl’s best friend. An easy going nice guy, Rome is brilliant and funny. At the age of twenty-two, he’s moving out of his parents’ house for the first time and into off-campus housing with two complete strangers.

No more Mister “Playing it Safe.”

Rome may be wicked smart, but math and science will only get him so far, and they certainly won’t land him a first date with the girl of his dreams.

For that, he’ll get a little unwanted help from his friends—and meddling family members.

YOU NEVER FORGET A FRIENDLY FACE.

Lilly Howard is tired of being taken for granted. After breaking up with her philandering boyfriend, she’s giving up guys and learning to love herself again.

She’s sick of playing nice.

When she bumps into Rome, they become instant friends. When he asks her to be his fake girlfriend to keep his family off his back, she agrees—but only if he’ll return the favor…

My Review of Jock Romeo

Jock Romeo by Sara Ney

My rating: 5 of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sweet and Steamy!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜💛
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌏
Character development: ☺️😟😍😁🥰

The heroine: Lilly – she is a college cheerleader, but not by choice. Lilly’s overbearing mother forced her into it at a young age and she has never really been allowed to make her own decisions.

The Hero(s): Roman – A science nerd. He is focused on school. Roman has lived at home and helped his Mom out with his younger brother Alex and elderly great aunt Myrtle. He has never really had time for girls or relationships since he has to focus on his studies.

The Story: Lilly and Roman meet as freshmen in college. They are both attending a party and neither of them wants to be there. They end up talking for hours and liking each other though they don’t meet again until they are seniors.

I’m not quite sure why this one is titled Jock Romeo, since Rome isn’t a jock. Though at one point it mentions he plays tennis, though it doesn’t specify if that is on the college tennis team or just for fun. Though Lilly is definitely the Jock in this book. She is on the Cheerleading squad for the Football team and it seems like quite a lot of practice and hard work.

This book had all the humor and steam of all of Sara Ney’s other books but was much sweeter and cuter than any I have read before. With Roman not being an experienced player like many of the other Hero’s in the Sports Romance genre. I really liked the fact that both of these characters have their own issues with self doubt and I really enjoyed the romance in this book.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
