My rating: 4 of 5 stars
For those mortals wanting to get up close and personal with the beautiful undead, there’s…

V-DATE, THE UNDEAD DATING SERVICE
🧛🏻
Silver Harris is done with clingy men—maybe men altogether. But when she shares a toe-curling kiss with a sexy Irish vampire on New Year’s Eve, she decides maybe it’s human men she’s done with. Silver turns to the popular vampire dating site, V-Date. When the undead gentlemen come calling, soon she’s in over her head. And her mysterious hottie is nowhere to be found…
👩🏻💻
Logan Byrne can’t get that sassy redhead out of his head—or that kiss! When his boss assigns him to spy on V-Date members, he meets Silver again. Turns out, the police are recruiting humans to snitch on vampires through the dating site. As the snark and sparks fly, feelings between Silver and Logan grow deep. Logan isn’t sure he can go through with his mission to make Silver forget everything she knows about vampires…and betray her.
🤷🏻♀️
But in the tight-knit London community of centuries-old vampires, history and grudges run deep and dating the undead can be risky business.

Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙

Character development: 🧛🏻🧛🏻♂️🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻🧛🏻♂️
The heroine: Silver – her Mom disappeared a few years ago which affected her greatly. Silver is not interested in long term relationships and lives for now. She is in her early twenties and works in a jewelry store which she hates.
The Hero(es): Logan – a vampire created hundreds of years ago by an ancient vampire named Anastasia who recruited murderers and thieves that would be blood bonded to her so she could use them as servants. Years ago another ancient helped Logan break the blood bond to Anastasia, and now he is bonded that vampire. Logan now works for him.
The Story: Silver finds her date kissing another girl on New Year’s eve and gets kicked out of the party for kicking him in the family jewels. She then meets Logan, a handsome vampire who gives her a kiss like she never experienced before, then disappearing into the night.
Silver decides to check out an online dating service called V date where she can get hooked up with any number of handsome vampires. Logan is asked by his boss to check out V date, which is apparently a site that the police are using to get information on the vampire race. He is tasked with finding the latest V date user that the police plan on using as an informant. He is supposed to glamour her and make her believe she never wants to date another vampire.
Logan finds out the girl he is supposed to glamour is Silver, the same girl he kissed on New Year’s eve and can’t seem to forget. He doesn’t want to glamour her because he wants to date her. Though not doing what his boss told him to do is a betrayal and that could be punishable by death.
I liked the new take on vampire lore and the story. I love paranormal stories that take place in the normal world and when one of the main characters is a regular person who gets caught up in the supernatural world. The dual POV and male/female narration were great. Logan had an Irish accent while Silver had an English one. It was a nice change of pace.

I haven’t gotten to the second one yet. Though I plan to. I am really liking audiobooks so I try to stick to those as long as it isn’t an ARC.
