Audiobook Review: Pick Six (Mavericks Tackle Love, #2). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pick Six by Max Monroe

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sean Phillips is a sexy as sin enigma.

Cocky. Promiscuous.

The New York Mavericks star wide receiver.

His quick moves and sure hands extend way past the lines of the football field—and into the bedroom.

🕶

Sure of himself and sure of his life, Sean’s convinced he can handle anything. But when beautiful, pint-sized Six Malone delivers a challenge he’s never faced before, his certainty starts to waver.

🤷🏽‍♀️

Six Malone is a force to be reckoned with.

Feisty. Hilarious.

The popular YouCam vlogger Pick Six.

👩🏽‍💻

The chance to work with the Mavericks on an eight-episode vlog series is the opportunity of a lifetime, and Six knows it.

🏈

But after an interesting first encounter turns into a head-to-head battle with cocky football star Sean Phillips, her attention shifts—to keeping herself from falling in love.

⚔️

Too bad spending time with the team is part of the job, and Sean has a flawless track record…of getting what he wants.

Pick Six

A contemporary sports romance with an awesome heroine!

The heroine: Six Malone – Popular Vlogger on YouCam. Six just got a dream job with her favorite NFL team the Mavericks doing an eight episode series of vlogs during their season. She arrives at the stadium early and the first thing she does is mistake the locker room for the conference room where she was supposed to meet the team and boy does she ever enjoy the view.

The Hero(es): Sean Phillips – He has focused on his career so much that he has never had time for relationships and hasn’t really wanted to. He enjoys women and has taken full advantage of his celebrity status and the football groupies that seem to show up wherever the players hang out.

The Story: Six Malone is a tiny whirlwind of activity and she is very good at what she does. She has always had a crush on wide receiver Sean Phillips, but she knows what a player he is and when she meets him and discovers how cocky he is she decides to show him what she thinks about that.

The narration was so great. Aiden Snow had a deep voice that was great for a football hero and he did the cocky arrogant celebrity so well. But Stephanie Rose stole the show as the snarky, sarcastic ball of energy that was Six Malone. She was brilliant as Six in the Mavericks locker room (a.k.a. Penis Party).

When Six was texting to her best friends about Jason Momoa and Game of Thrones, I wished I could have a friend like her and her drunken rambling about her period was absolutely hilarious. The supporting characters were also fabulous, especially Tiny the defenseman who is always hungry and the QB who watched out for the team. I liked how she became friends with all of the team and they sort of adopted her as a little sister who they liked to party with.
