Jules by Giulia Lagomarsino
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Julian
swore he would always love her. He said he would never leave her. He’s about to break that promise. If only she would listen. If only she would trust him. But how much crap can one man take? It’s time to move on.
Ivy
wants Julian more than anything, but she’s won’t trust anyone with her secrets. Now it’s too late. He doesn’t want her, but she needs him more than ever. If only she could make him understand. If only she had told him sooner how she felt, but that train has left the station and her life is going to hell. She should have told him she loved him when she had the chance.
Jules
Man with Amnesia!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💋💋💋💋💋
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘📔
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 👨🏻👱🏻♀🧔🏻👩🏻👱🏼♂
The heroine: Ivy – she has been in a few previous books as Emma’s best friend and former roommate. Emma runs a bookstore and Ivy runs the coffee shop and bakery that is in the bookstore. Ivy has been a free-spirit though she is hiding from something in her past.
The Hero(es): Julian (Jules) – he is a member of Reed Security and on a team with Chris and Ice. He grew up in foster care after his parents abandoned him and he never found a home or family until he came to Reed Security.
The Story: Jules and Ivy began hooking up around the same time as Burg and Emma though Burg and Emma became serious about each other right away, Jules and Ivy kept their relationship more like just a regular hookup. Though they began spending more and more time together until Jules demanded to know about Ivy’s past and she wasn’t willing to tell him.
The thing is that Ivy’s past isn’t that bad. However, in her history nobody ever believed her and/or believed in her, especially the people that were supposed to love her so she was determined to put it behind her and didn’t want to bring it up. When Jules gets injured and nearly killed, Ivy realizes that she was wrong. However, it is too late because Jules has no memory of her or what they shared together.
This book is an interesting one because there is a threat, but nobody knows it. When they finally figure it out, they can’t find the threat and it might just be too late for Ivy. This book was also the most hilarious one so far. I’ve said it before, but I have to say it again, these tough muscular alpha males have the best gossip sessions about their women and the scene with the wax was awesome.
