The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 👏👏👏👏
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 🥸😯😎☺️

The heroine: Meagan – Her father was one of the scientists that held supernatural beings and creatures and ran experiments on them. Meagan also worked in the Lab but she couldn’t take the way they were treated, like animals in cages, tortured and abused. Meagan ended up helping the hunters in the last book and Liam killed her father to save her.

The Hero: Liam – He was a messenger angel before his fall. He wants to become a hunter in order to feel useful and to make up for his falling from heaven. He wants to hunt the bad guys and help the innocents.

Liam at first is angry with Meagan and wants revenge against her for working in the Lab where he was held and tortured. However, he soon started to see that she was unable to do more than what she did was attracted to her, he liked her innocence in spite of the atrocities she had seen there. Also it turned out that she was sort of incapable of helping herself at the time. The romance builds slowly and the story is good, though I found I wasn’t as involved with Meagan and Liam as I was with the couples in the last two books.

Maybe it was the fact that there were cameos from Thane and Sofia (Fallen Into Hell) and I am still waiting to find out what is going on with them and what happened to Adrian (Sin). Also, there was this “Other” character and I want to find out more about him or her. The character seems to be possibly a ghost but is totally subservient to Tolk who is the bad guy and the driving force behind the alliance. I want to know what happened to that character, both in the past and when he was following around the Director. Again, I can’t wait for the next book.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
