Daring Her Captor (Daring Desires, #4). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Daring her Captor by Ann Omasta

My rating: 4 of 5 stars.

He’s the last man she should want…

Belle Davis is a strong, smart, and savvy businesswoman. She wouldn’t know how to play the part of ‘damsel in distress’ if she tried.

Wyatt Foster isn’t playing games when he kidnaps the beautiful heiress to the Davis fortune and takes her to a secluded cabin in rural Maine.

Sparks fly when these two firecrackers are cooped up with each other during a wicked winter storm. Neither wants to admit to their aching desire for the other, but they can’t deny the forbidden lust that sizzles between them.

Will Belle and Wyatt be able to resist the lure of a sexy enemies-to-lovers romance? Even if they give in to their cravings, will they ever be able to move beyond their roles as captor and prisoner? Find out NOW in Daring her Captor.

Daring Her Captor

Strange hostage situation, but steamy romance!

The setting: A cabin in the remote wilderness of Maine

The Hero(s): Wyatt Foster – An enigma. He drugs Annabelle and takes her captive to a cabin in the forest in Maine. He won’t tell her anything about the reasons or his boss, but answers other questions and treats her like a guest.

The heroine: Annabelle K Davis (Belle) – she is an executive at her fathers company, Davis Industries. Belle works harder than most, which doesn’t leave much time for anything else. She has no man in her life.

The Love Story: The sexual tension between Wyatt and Belle starts to build from the first moments she sees him. Belle and Wyatt like each other, the only problem is that he is holding her against her will.

This was a short read, so I went in knowing the story might not be as complete as you would get in a 200+ page book. However, I hate glaring plot holes. In this case there were a few. First of all, Belle has a surprising lack of fear of Wyatt given her circumstances. I mean the fact that she was drugged and taken to a remote location yet her kidnapper is not only showing his fact, but he has given her his full name should alarm her much more. Granted the name could be fake, but why give first and last name if it is just going to be a fake name?

If it were me, I would immediately think that he plans to kill me if he is showing me his face and I have no clue why his gives out his name. Belle not only doesn’t show fear, but she immediately starts feeling attracted to him and even jokes around with him. She still has it in her mind that she will try to escape, but if it were me, I would have stayed awake all night right away and tried to get his keys. I also would be constantly questioning him on what is going on and what is planned even if he doesn’t answer.

Other than the plot holes, this is a nice steamy little captive romance story. It was enjoyable for what it was, so I will give it a 3.5 stars.
