Loathe Thy Neighbor: Roommate Romps by Teagan Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars.
Don’t fall for your enemy…especially when he’s your new roommate.
🖤
Dean Evans is the worst.
🖤
Not only does the devil in disguise steal my pie on a regular basis, he also lives in the apartment right. Next. Door.
🖤
I see him all the time. At the mailboxes. In the elevator.
🖤
Every single morning.
🖤
It’s exhausting because he’s exhausting.
🖤
Now, after setting his apartment on fire, he’s my roommate…and he’s the worst at that too.
🖤
I don’t know what possessed me to let him stay with me. Pity, perhaps?
🖤
I do know that I won’t be falling for his charm.
🖤
Or that panty-dropping smirk.
🖤
His quick wit.
🖤
That body he works so hard for.
🖤
Nope. Not falling for any of it…least of all him.
🖤
There might be a fine line between love and hate, but I know exactly where I stand.
Loathe Thy Neighbor
Enemies to lovers, neighbors to roommate romance with pets!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💛💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 👤👤👤👤👤
The setting: Apartment building, local diner, clothing store.
The Hero(s): Dean Evans – a school teacher, owns a turtle named Leo, his parents won the lottery when he was young. He lives in the apartment next door to the heroine. They hate each other. He hates her because she is antagonistic and has reported him to the building manager for playing music too loud.
The heroine: River White – the owner of a clothing store, she loves Cherry pie and Dean always somehow gets the last piece every Sunday at her favorite diner where she meets her best friend. So she is stuck eating some other kind of pie. Plus he plays the same song every morning too loud. Those are just a few reasons she hates Dean.
The Love Story:Dean and River end up sharing her apartment and the fact that they are attracted to each other becomes apparent pretty quickly. They both have terrible dating track records.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a slow burn hate to love romance but once they both realized the attraction, the fire took off and the book became quite steamy. I loved the fact that Dean has an emotional support turtle named Leo that he brings with him just about everywhere. I have read a few of Teagan Hunter’s books in the past and she is great at using odd animals to enhance world building and character development. The baby goats in the texting series were awesome.
River and Dean were a cute couple, the way they bicker at each other so much makes it obvious that they are just covering up their attraction to each other. I also loved the humor in this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
