Crow by A. Zavarelli
My rating: 5 of 5 stars.
An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart.
I had a plan.
Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right?
Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn’t exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door.
That’s when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn’t a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset. My sob story about needing a job? Yeah, he wasn’t buying that either.
Too bad for him, I won’t let anyone get in the way of my mission.
Who cares if we have some kind of crazy chemistry? He’s the worst kind of wrong- and I would never in a million years be with a guy like him.Crow
Because they took her from me, and I’m going to make them pay.
Totally Fecking Awesome!

“That isn’t going to save me though. He has a fight advantage, but they all do. I have the advantage of thinking with my brain and not a cock. Already it’s obvious that my shorts and sports bra are distracting him. Regardless of the fact that I just punched him in the face, he still sees me as a pair of tits and an ass. Go figure.”
Great Irish Mafia book, the Irish slang was out in force especially. But seriously, the romance between Lachlan and Mackenzie was so hot almost from the very first time they meet. He gets possessive of her very early on and wants her for himself.

Mackenzie’s background story is also very good, her father was a an underground boxer and was involved with some shady characters. He ended up being murdered by a member of the Russian Mob. Mack was an orphan from age 13 moving from foster home to foster home and living on the street at times with her friend Talia.
Now Talia has gone missing after working for a few weeks at Lachlan’s strip club and dating a Russian mob guy. The Irish and Russian Mobs are trying to come together in an alliance but are having issues with an inside traitor that they are trying to uncover. Mackenzie gets a job at the club to find out what happened to Talia. Though doing this is gathering information on the mob which is a huge risk for her and a betrayal of Lachlan.

I was so engrossed in reading the last few hours of this book, I couldn’t even stop to go to the restroom. It was that good.
