So awesome. I was riveted from start to finish.
Holy cliffhanger Scooby! Well, not so much of a cliffhanger, it close enough for me to scream out at the end and my son came in my room to ask what was wrong. There was so much angst in this book, and the two main characters, Hardin and Tessa, were fighting non stop.
The two main characters would get together then Hardin would be a jerk and Tessa would say she has had enough and walk away. Then Hardin would either start missing Tessa, or see her around another guy and would be back begging her forgiveness for being such a prick. Hardin was quite the manwhore prior to meeting Tessa, he said he didn’t ever date. But he seemed different with her. Showing her parts of himself he never revealed to anyone, which made her feel special. Definitely a bully romance.
Though there always seemed to be things he was still keeping secret. He has nightmares that he won’t explain, he won’t tell his friends they are dating, and he seems afraid his friends are going to tell her something she shouldn’t know. She finds out at the end but there is still a cliffy, so I plan on picking up book 2 right away.
This takes place in college, so it is considered new adult, but the sex is hot and steamy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and the story has all the things I like in a romance, possessiveness, jealously, first love, angst, family drama, crazy friends and characters you connect with. But like I said earlier their is a frustrating cliffhanger so be prepared to want book 2 immediately.
