Dirty Player

Dirty Player by Stacey Lynn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The title is extremely accurate on this one.

If you enjoy sizzling, steamy erotic romances with a lot of dirty talk and even more dirty, filthy action, you will love this book. It is heavy on the sexy scenes, though the story is good as well bit there is not as much of a story as you would expect for a book this long.

The characters are well developed, even the supporting characters. The Hero is Oliver Powell, a 30 year old NFL star running back who wants to win a super bowl this year. He knows he only has a few more years in him before retirement and he thinks this will be his best chance. The team came close the previous year and this year they picked up a new quarterback who is a rising star.

The heroine is Shannon Hale, sister of Beaux Hale the new Quarterback. She basically raised Beaux though she is only three years older and she sacrificed a lot to give him his football dreams. She took him to all his practices, threw the ball around with him, payed for his college and more. She just got out of a long relationship when she found her fiancé cheating on her at a party his boss was throwing for them.

The attraction between her and Oliver is immediate, but he is jaded after his ex wife left him right after he got traded from New England to a team in the south, she wanted to stay where she could shop and have fun. Since then he only does one night stands. Beaux tells Shannon to stay away from Oliver, but that doesn’t work for long. Then one night just isn’t enough for either of them.

The book is fun and hot and definitely a good read if you’re in the mood to get down and dirty.
