🦸🏼‍♀️ The Heroine: Celine

Celine is fresh off a breakup with Eddie — a relationship she never wanted in the first place. He clung, she detached, and the whole thing ran on physical chemistry rather than emotional connection. So when she discovers he cheated, the betrayal hits harder than she expects. She’s furious, humiliated, and absolutely not in the mood to watch her two best friends bask in their blissful, harem‑style relationships. But it’s a celebration, so she drags herself out… only to be nudged toward the idea of a rebound she’s not sure she’s ready for.

🦸🏻‍♂️ The Heroes: Dornan, Elias & Travis

Three men. Zero coordination. Maximum chaos. All of them orbiting Celine for very different reasons.

Dornan — the towering, muscle‑packed college football star who’s been in Celine’s life for years. Loyal, steady, and quietly pining.

Elias — the unforgettable one‑night stand from her “break” with Eddie. He’s the guy who never does repeats… except with her. Oh, and he also happens to be Eddie’s sworn enemy, which adds a delicious layer of tension.

Travis — Gabrielle’s older, hotter brother who just returned from Germany after ending a toxic relationship. Mature, grounded, and carrying a slow‑burn interest in Celine that predates the other two.

They’re not friends, but they all end up in the same bar — and they all want her.

📚 The Plot

One drunken night changes everything. Celine runs into Eddie at the bar, spirals, and somehow ends up kissing all three men who’ve been quietly (or not so quietly) obsessed with her. When it’s time to take her home, none of them will back down… so they all go. Straight to a motel.

In the middle of the night, the four of them end up talking — really talking — about Eddie, his refusal to let her go, and how trapped she feels. A fake‑dating plan emerges, originally with Elias, but Dornan and Travis immediately volunteer as tribute. Celine, fueled by anger and tequila, decides the ultimate revenge is to “date” all three.

It’s messy, chaotic, and exactly the kind of drama Eddie can’t ignore.

🌟 Strengths

• Elias insisting he “doesn’t date” while simultaneously being the first one to get jealous was chef’s kiss. His emotional whiplash added tension and humor in all the right places.

💔 Limitations

• Celine’s fixation on revenge sometimes made her feel immature. She openly admits she wanted out long before Eddie cheated, yet she’s determined to punish him simply because she didn’t get to end things on her terms. It undercuts some of her emotional growth.

🎙️ Narration

Told through multiple POVs with dual narration, the audiobook features Jason Clarke and Isabelle Ruther.

Jason Clarke — one of my all‑time favorite male narrators — delivers again with that deep, gravelly voice and his talent for distinct character tones.

Isabelle Ruther is new to me, and she fits Celine’s age and energy well. However, her voice for Gabby was so grating that I found myself skipping ahead during those sections.

💬 Final Assessment

This audiobook delivers a fun, trope‑heavy setup — one heroine, three very different men, and a chaotic fake‑dating scheme — but the emotional depth doesn’t always match the potential of its premise. The three heroes are distinct and compelling, especially Elias, whose “I don’t date” persona cracks the moment jealousy hits. Their dynamics offer tension, contrast, and plenty of opportunity for character‑driven conflict.

Celine, however, is harder to invest in. Her motivation centers almost entirely on revenge, even though she admits she wanted out of her relationship long before Eddie cheated. That reactive mindset limits her growth and makes the central conflict feel more impulsive than transformative.

Overall, this is an entertaining, low‑stakes, multi‑love‑interest fantasy with strong narration on the male side and a premise that leans more on drama than emotional complexity. Great for listeners who enjoy jealousy, chaos, and trope‑driven fun; less ideal for those seeking deeper character arcs or meaningful evolution.
