• The tonal whiplash in Damien’s dialogue sometimes undermines his protective persona. Promising Morgan he’ll show her how a “real man treats a princess,” only to immediately demand submission, felt jarring and inconsistent.

This story thrives on its blend of danger, desire, and justice. Damien is both savior and sinner, a man whose darkness is matched only by his devotion to protecting women like Morgan.
