Inked 8 by Stephanie Brother
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
What begins as a kinky game ends up as something else entirely.
Inked 8
When I start a new job as the Ink Factor tattoo parlor receptionist, I have no idea what to expect. My skin is virgin, so I’ve never stepped foot into a place like it. But it’s not the graffitied walls or the crazy loud music that overwhelms me; it’s the eight huge, sexy, tattooed men who own it.
Dex and Lex are twins with pierced tongues, wicked grins, and snake tattoos that disappear beneath their waistbands to goodness knows where.
Nash, Niall, and Noah are triplets who have marked their skin to make their gorgeous jacked bodies less identical.
Kase and Kole are dark and mysterious, watching everything I do with a mix of suspicion and fascination.
And Carl is the boss. With ice blue eyes and hair like a Viking, he makes my knees weak every time he gives me an order.
They hire me to sort out their admin. I spend my days trying to stay professional and my nights tangled in dreams filled with men of ink and sin. But it’s when they overhear me talking to a friend about my lack of bedroom experience that things get really interesting.
They offer to help in a strictly educational kind of way. They each have a different kink, and they’re confident they can help me figure out what I like. They treat it like a game, telling me to score them on satisfaction and technique. A little more experience will help me find Mr. Right-For-Me. At least that’s what they say.
Except, each night I spend with them makes me more confused.
You see, my problem is that I don’t want to find someone else. I think I want them all.

🎧 Audiobook Review: Inked 8 by Stephanie Brother
A reverse-harem romance featuring seven inked alpha male tattoo artists and a girl new to the tattooing scene with virgin skin.
🧍🏻♀️ The Heroine: Kyla
Kyla works hard at The Daily Grind coffee shop, where her manager overworks her. Her friend Dawn suggests she apply for an administrator position at Ink Factor Tattoo, believing Kyla’s organizational skills make her ideal. Though Kyla doesn’t see herself as fitting in there, she decides to visit the tattoo shop.
🧍🏽 The Heroes: Dex, Lex, Nash, Niall, Noah, Kase, Kole, Carl
The 8 handsome tattooed men own Ink Factor Tattoo, which is a franchised chain of shops all over the country. Despite the large cast, each character is surprisingly well-developed.
• Carl – The boss at Ink Factor and he also likes to be the boss in the bedroom. He is dominant and kinky and loves a submissive female.
• Dex and Lex – Twins that like to work together when it comes to women. Dex likes challenging puzzles and has a crazy imagination. Lex has a more easy going temperament than his brother.
• Nash, Niall and Noah – they are identical triplets with flirty and cocky attitudes. They all have different ink to differentiate themselves. Noah is entranced by Kyla from day one and stalks her a bit. Niall has a sharp tongue and quick wit.
• Kase and Kole – They are twins. Kole volunteers at a youth boxing club once a week, for kids who don’t have anyone else. People think he has a temper but actually Kase is more volatile.
📖 Plot Snapshot
Kyla gets the job right away and starts to get to know her coworkers right away. The first customer she meets is a pop star named Luna from the previous book, Steel 7. Luna has an unconventional relationship with her seven bodyguards. Between Luna and Dawn’s other friends that are in similar relationships, each with a bunch of men, Kyla is immediately immersed in a world where it is not so odd to have a harem of men at your beck and call. So when she finds herself attracted to all of her coworkers at the tattoo shop, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility to think she can be in a polyamorous relationship, though she does think that she is too ordinary for something like that.
👍 What Worked
• I enjoyed the oddity of the gang of guys, how there were triplets, two pairs of twins, and a huge viking boss.
• The steamy scenes were sexy and I love the kinks, not too deviant, but not vanilla either. Things like exhibitionism, voyeurism, role playing, bondage, eating food off a female, and more.
• I love the fact that each of the men think that Kyla is someone they want to keep even though their game is not set up for her to keep any of them.
👎 What Fell Short
• Eight men for one woman doesn’t make sense and is just too many, I like reverse harem, but that is one big harem.
• There isn’t a ton of story other than the dates she goes on with each man and the kinks they have.
• I wish all the sexy scenes would have been told mainly from the males points of view, because Connor Crais talking dirty is the best.
🎙️ Narration Highlights
Told through multiple POVs, the audiobook features dual narration by Connor Crais and Melanie Hastings
• Connor Crais is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a deep, sexy voice that I could listen to all day and I don’t even care that he uses the same voice for multiple characters. His harsh but soft voice during the intimate scenes was so hot.
• Melanie Hastings has a soft, youthful tone which is very enjoyable. She is able to project vulnerability and strength with subtlety. Though there is something about the way she talks that I don’t really like. She isn’t exactly whiny, but I think it is the way she stretches out some words. Her voice for male characters isn’t bad at all, which is great for the dual narration style.
