Better-Off Bunny by Sedona Ashe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I’m a bunny shifter who has been claimed by the wolf shifters. Things are going to get hot…or dead….
Better-Off Bunny
I’m determined to honor the memory of my family by respecting the rabbit shifter community’s traditions. That is right up until I’m slapped in the face with an unexpected betrayal. The Elders are offering me up on a silver platter to the five male rabbit shifters whose favorite pastime is tormenting me.
I can either be the rabbits’ plaything or run from the Burrows and the only home I’ve ever known.
I’m sick and tired of being the docile bunny I was brought up to be. It is time that people learn this bunny can bite, because I’m not taking anything from anybody from now on…not even from the wolves that are breathing down my neck.
Sure, the bunnies are under the wolves’ protection, but these guys seem to have a taste for getting me all hot and bothered. Rabbit shifters and wolves will do business together, but personal relationships just aren’t possible…right?
And to make matters worse, my spring heat is happening. Like, now. A female rabbit can’t survive going through a heat alone, but can I trust these wolves to care for me when I’m at my most vulnerable? And what about afterwards?
These predators are going to eat me alive…and I’m looking forward to it.
Better-Off Bunny is a stand-alone within a series. This book contains some bullying, but not from Monroe’s fated mates.
A cute reverse harem shifter story!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚💜💙❤️
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: ☺️😍😄🥰

Narration type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Monroe – she was a rabbit shifter, coming up on her first heat. She wasn’t the most popular in the rabbit shifter community, but she was determined to follow the rules and to honor the memory of her family. When it came time for her first spring heat, the elders of the community were ready to choose mates for her since a female rabbit isn’t able to go through heat alone. The female rabbit becomes very needy, and one or two mates would not be enough for her, so they choose multiple mates. Though Monroe isn’t fond of any of the male rabbits in her community she would never go against whomever the elders choose.
The Heroes: Killian, Cyrus and Rig – They are three alpha wolf shifters that live in the area. The wolves protect the rabbit community though rabbits are never comfortable with wolves since they are prey and the wolves are predators. The guys often go to the local café where Monroe works and though she is a rabbit, they all know that she is their mate. They want to get to know her better.
The Story: When it comes time for her heat, the community gets together, and the elders choose the five guys who have bullied Monroe all through high school. They are the sons of the most important rabbit shifters in town and when those five guys reject being her mates but tell the elders they will get her through her heat and provide a home for her. She would basically be their mistress, but she would never bear their children. Monroe had it with the humiliation given to her when the elders agreed and she ran. That was where the three wolves found her.
This was a cute reverse harem shifter story. The wolves couldn’t get over how cute their bunny was, and I liked the way they treated her. The story about Monroe being rejected was a good one, and I loved that she was accepted by the wolves and that the wolves were able to protect her and get back at those who wronged her. How female rabbits getting while in heat made a lot of sense considering all we know about rabbits.
This audiobook was told in the main characters points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Troy Duran and Vanessa Moyen. Vanessa has a youthful sounding voice that was perfect for Monroe, and she is very expressive, which I really like. Troy Duran is one of my favorite male narrators, he is great at using different voices for different characters and I could listen to him all day.
