Audiobook Review: Amari’s Adored (The Quasar Lineage, #3) by Pearl Tate. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amari’s Adored by Pearl Tate

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m one of eight young women abducted by aliens from college!

Before I even wake up from my abduction, I’m “rescued” from the shuttle that crashed here on their prison planet.
My rescuer is different though, with mismatched eyes and a language I can’t understand.

But as I’m coming to terms with everything around me, I become a pawn in a tug-of-war between my new rescuer and a group of unhappy aliens.

They are determined to break away from their prison, taking everything of value with them… and that includes me!

Amari’s Adored

Best in the series so far!

The heroine: Rachel – one night while trying to sleep at her father’s sheep farm, she is reflecting on the fact that she has a unique ability to calm the sheep during shearing, and the fact that her gut is telling her that something is wrong. She gets up and hears screaming from the animals in the barn. She sees a huge wolf in the barn, and she sees it has two different colored eyes. Her favorite sheep and many others were killed and injured. That happened years ago, and she still has nightmares about it.

The Hero: Amari – he was a prisoner who broke out after years of torture. He was sent to the prison world at twelve years old, at the time he was supposed to be transferred from his family’s home to that of his promised and be trained. She didn’t want Amari and sent him to the prison world. Years later after he escaped the dome section of the prison, he has been living outside the dome walls, he has been having visions of a female, and he now has mating marks covering his body.

The Story: when Rachel is kidnapped by aliens she wakes up to see an alien with two different colored eyes looking at her, before passing out again. The spaceship she was in crashed on a prison planet. Amari knew it was coming and knew it would be carrying weapons. He got to the ship as soon as it crashed and was able to take a bunch of weapons, and when he sees Rachel, he knows he has to take her as well. He carries her into the jungle before the warden and his men got to the crash site. Rachel wakes up again, this time in a cave, with a huge man watching her.

The story was good and very exciting right from the start. Of course there were steamy scenes as well, but this one definitely had a lot more story than steam. Rachel is kidnapped from Amari’s cave, and he had to go through a lot to get her back. I liked this book the best so far. I wish the rest of this series was on audiobook.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view and narrated in duet narration by Randi Johnson and Kelsey Navarro. Randi Johnson has a nice voice and is good at using different voices for different characters, though he does sound a bit older than I generally like. Kelsey Navarro has a nice voice that sounds age appropriate for the female main character, and she is very expressive.
