Review: Snowed in With The Stalker (Snowed in Trilogy, #2) by Melony Ann. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Snowed In With The Stalker by Melony Ann

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I’m being followed.

Every time I look over my shoulder, I feel like someone slips into the shadows so I can’t see them.

But I can feel them. I feel their breath on my neck; their hands on my skin.

No one can help me. The police have tried, but it’s hard to catch a ghost.

That’s what he is. A ghost.

My only option is to flee, so that’s what I do. I have a cabin that no one knows about. It’s not under my name. It’s not under any name that’s associated with me.

But as I’m running, I can feel them chasing me… Hot on my trail.

Who are they? What do they want? And why do I not feel scared…? Why do I want them to catch me…?

Snowed in With The Stalker

Should’ve been longer!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍
Character development: 😤🙁😋

The heroine: Lissa – she has nightmares about being chased through the woods by an unseen enemy, though when he catches her, she is not afraid. Lissa lives in Omaha, Nebraska but she has a cabin in Redford Colorado, which is a Christmas town. She loves Christmas and since she doesn’t have anyone to spend it with, she decides to drive the eight hours to her cabin for the holidays. Lissa is an acclaimed reporter who has been to war zones, but her parents wanted her to settle down and when she decided to be career oriented, they abandoned her to her own devices.

The Hero: Tanner (a.k.a. Phantom) – he used to be an Army sniper, and his boss wants him to take care of the nosy reporter who knows too much about his business. Though Tanner doesn’t think Lissa Taylor actually knows anything and even so, he kind of hopes she takes his boss down. His boss and a few others are on the way, but Tanner doesn’t think there is any way they will make it with the snowstorm that has blown up. Tanner was able to make it to an abandoned cabin not far from Lissa’s, though he doubts even his truck can make it out of there with all the snow.

The Story: When Tanner was in the military, he found out that his mom left his dad and left him in deep debt with some nasty loan sharks. When his stint in the Army was up, he came home to help his dad and has had to work for men he hates for over ten years now, with the guys constantly holding his dad’s debt over his head. He has never actually seen the men he works for, but he hates them with everything in him. This last kill is his last and his dad’s debts will finally be paid in full. Though he has been taking his time on this one. He has been watching her and following her for a while now.

“She’s sexy as hell, but what’s hotter is that she doesn’t even know it.
She’s the type of girl I’d worship.
But I’m not in the position to do that. I have to figure out a way to help her disappear. She needs to be untouchable, even to me, if either of us are going to get out of this alive.”

Well, this was a weird one. Lissa gave in to her stalker way to quickly and easily, though I don’t know why I expected anything else from a short read. This could have been a really good story if it was at least 200 pages or more. I don’t know why I sometimes grab books that are shorter, but I read the blurb and liked it before noticing how short it was. The story wasn’t bad; it was just way too short.
