Audiobook Review: My Alien’s Baby (Draci, #2) by Stasia Black. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My Alien’s Baby by Stasia Black

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After centuries alone, he’s finally found a place to belong…
in her.

Ezo is an alien who’s crazy about all things Earth. He can’t wait to get there in person and experience it all for himself—pizza, chocolate, flirting… After a lifetime of being alone on his old planet, he’ll finally have a place he can call home.

But when he arrives, a mate has already been chosen for him. Ana is waiting as soon as he exits his shuttle. She’s beautiful, colorful, and seems as excited to meet him as he is her.

He’s never known such happiness.

Everything is perfect.

…Until it’s not.

Because Ezo isn’t a free man. He has a mission to accomplish. One that his entire race is depending on. But accomplishing his mission could mean having to leave his beautiful Ana behind.

My Alien’s Baby

Another good story in this series!

Narration type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Ezo – he is from an alien race called draci, and his civilization is dying. He is so excited to be one of the first males of his species to have undergone the transformation and gets to take a shuttle down to Earth. He lives on a ship that is orbiting Earth, and his people have come up with a plan to use genetic manipulation to make themselves look human so they can go down to Earth and impregnate human females. They are still over 80 percent draci, but now have some human DNA, their scales have turned to human skin, their faces are now shaped like human, and they can go into human society and integrate while keeping their secret.

The heroine: Ana – she is one of Juliet’s best friends from My Alien’s Obsession. She is a college student and techie who gets in to all the conspiracy theories on the dark web. Her most recent one was that there were aliens among us and were planning world domination. Though when Juliet falls in love with one of the draci, she changes her mind about what they are doing on Earth. She has always felt not good enough when compared to her younger sister. She wants to be special for once, so when Juliet and her mate Shak, ask for Ana to meet the shuttle when Ezo comes to Earth, with some potential mates for him, she agrees, but doesn’t bring any other girls and presents herself as his mate when he arrives.

The Story: Ana wants to ensure that she gets pregnant right away and can cement herself as Ezo’s mate before he decides he wants someone else. Though Ezo is happy with her as his mate. It takes her a while before she really believes that she is the one her wants. This book gets steamy early on and is even more so with the fact that the draci have dual appendages and the fact that mates can feel each other’s pleasure as well as their own.

Like the first book in this series, this was a shorter book, at about 130 pages. The story was good, but not great and nothing completely original. Though I did like the fact that the series takes place on Earth. Ana’s father always compared her to her beautiful and perfect younger sister and she was blamed for things she didn’t do. Her younger sister slept with Ana’s boyfriend and is now engaged to him and expects Ana to attend the wedding. Her self-esteem is not great and when she doesn’t get pregnant right away like Juliet had, she fears that she will lose Ezo.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux. They both have nice voices and are decent narrators, though aren’t in my list of favorite narrators. They do a decent job, Jake speaks in a way with pauses that works well for an alien just learning the language.
