My Alien Beast by Stasia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Just because Giselle’s two best friends fell in love with alien hybrids and are now living their happily ever after’s in the King’s compound doesn’t mean Giselle feels left out… Sure they’ve got their adorable little half-alien winged babies and are happier than they’ve ever been but Giselle has a high-powered job and a full calendar of charity work and she’s… happy. Really. The positive affirmations she reads to herself every morning tell her so.
My Alien Beast
So when an enemy alien kidnaps her and flies away with her to a compound in the middle of nowhere, she fights back for all she’s worth to get back to her normal life.
Especially considering Thraxahenashuash, First of His Father’s Sons is determined to impregnate her so he’ll also have an heir for his own political gain. His curvy little human mate will be made to fall in line. Seduction is an art foreign to him but ruthless ambition? That he’s very familiar with.
The longer the two of them are locked away together, though, the more each will be tested by the other and uncontrollable passions ignite hotter and hotter.
Meanwhile there’s the tiny issue of the fate of the planet being on the line.
Different than the first two!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💜🩷🩶

World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: ☹️😄😍😮
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Giselle – her two best friends have mated to the draci aliens in the first two books. She is surprised when she is kidnapped by a Draci that looks a bit different than the first two who had undergone the DNA manipulation to appear human. Giselle has always felt that she wasn’t good enough, because her father left when she was young, and she felt it was her fault.
The Hero: Thraxahenashuash (a.k.a. First) – he is the second son of the recently murdered king of the Draci. Though he was the first legitimate son and had always been considered to be heir to the throne until his mother killed the king and his bastard brother Shak was made king. The DNA manipulation to make him look like a human didn’t work all the way so he looks a bit like a mix between a Draci and a human and still has scales and wings. However, he wants a mate and to have a child, so he goes to Earth and steals himself a female.
The story: First was used to the few Draci females that were left, who are barren and have their choice of males, so they have become cruel, judgmental and demanding. So, he decides to capture a human to mate with. He would never hurt a female; he feels the ends justify the means and he needs an heir. He keeps remembering things his mother told him, that he was born for greatness, and he needs to take things into his own hands. He also remembered that he was never good enough for his mother and she was abusive and cruel to him. He is surprised when he finds that Giselle is his fated mate.
This book was a bit different than the first two, in that First was kind of a bad guy and had been exiled after he told the truth about his mother killing the king. He had been raised by a mother who was manipulative and thought nothing of murder and treason to get what she wanted. First is working for the resistance against his half brother, the new king and what he is doing is treason. He is determined not to harm Giselle or take her without her consent. The resistance is plotting to take the throne and take over earth for their own. They think it is wrong that they live on the three ships instead of on the bountiful planet when they are so much better than humans. I did like the fact that First ended up redeeming himself and being a better man.
This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Bridgette and Greg Bordeaux. Their voices are ok, but not my favorites. Though they do a good job and are not annoying at all like some narrators.
