Sometimes, the biggest secrets can bring both salvation and destruction.
Tyler
Emerson Charles grew up luckier than most, going from a difficult life to finding safety and a true home with her stepmother and stepbrother. Years later, when Levi’s in trouble, Emerson will do anything for the brother of her heart, her greatest protector. Even seek the expertise of people who could be more hinderance than help—the men of Blue Halo Security. But she’ll have to play her cards close to her chest. Telling the whole truth could see the team unwilling to assist and Levi in more trouble than ever.
Tyler Morgan’s career in the special forces had barely begun when he was kidnapped by the people behind Project Arma. With that chapter of his life finally put to rest, he runs a security business with men he considers brothers, all of them using their enhanced physical abilities to assist others. But their newest client seems to be harboring secrets behind her pretty amber eyes. He can’t trust Emerson, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. Nor can he let her out of his sight when the danger surrounding her brother increases.
As the risks get higher, and their attraction stronger, Tyler and Emerson are soon embroiled in a deadly race to locate a man only one of them believes is worthy of redemption.

The Hero: Tyler – he is former special forces and one of a team of military men that were kidnapped and forced into Project Arma. The project was an experiment in creating super soldiers using drugs and DNA manipulation that was run by a former military general, but was not sanctioned by the government. Tylers team was held for two years, and during that time, his mother died from complications of diabetes. Tyler had always helped his mother with her medications and regulating her diabetes and with him being gone, she had trouble managing her illness and worried so much about his disappearance that she became ill and died.
The heroine: Emerson – her mother died when she was very young and her father was abusive. When she was just over ten years old, her father got married to a woman with a son, named Levy. One day when her father was angry at her and ready to beat her, Levy saved her and was nearly beaten to death by her father. Emerson’s stepbrother was a guard for Project Arma, and like the captives, he got enhanced abilities, like superhuman speed, strength, hearing and vision. Since the project was shut down, his mental health had suffered and she was afraid for him, she needed him found and caught so he could get help.
The Story: Emerson had tried hiring regular men to help her with Levy, but he always alluded them and she knew she had to get others with enhanced abilities to help her. She went to Blue Halo Security, the company Tyler and his team now own, and signed a contract for them to capture Levy and get him help. Though when she met Tyler, he told her that he thought all the guards that worked on the project were beyond redemption. So, Emerson made it sound like Levy was also a captive and not a guard.
Like the rest of this series, the story was really good. There wasn’t only the search for Levy, but the fact that Levy was mentally ill and thinks that the general who ran Project Arma was still alive and he thinks that Tyler and the men at Blue Halo were working for him. He wants his sister away from Tyler. There was also a side story about the team from Blue Halo helping the FBI with a serial killer who has been traveling across the country killing two people at a time, one is always someone who has done awful things and the other is one of that person’s family members.
This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Troy Duran and Lucy Rivers. Like I have said before, this series has some of my favorite narrators which is part of the reason I purchased all the audiobooks. Troy Duran always does a fantastic job. He has a deep, sexy voice and is great at doing different voices for different characters. Lucy Rivers has a nice, soft voice which I really enjoyed as well.
