Fallen Crest is back with a vengeance!
Fallen Crest University
Samantha, Mason, and Logan are all together and united with one common enemy: Sebastian Park, the king of fraternity douchebags.
With professional football scouts eyeing his every move, Mason Kade has to walk the line for the first time in his life. Any move he makes against Sebastian has to be perfect and under the radar. One mistake, and his career is over.
Sebastian has other plans. Mason’s career isn’t his target—not even close. Wanting to destroy Mason completely, Sebastian knows he must hit him where it hurts the most: Samantha, who doesn’t give a rat’s ass that she’s the target.
Sam is bound and determined to protect Mason herself, no matter the cost, but what if the cost is beyond her imagination? What if this time, the villain wins?
“Hashtag revenge shit machine.”

The heroine: Sam – After all her family troubles, bully troubles and her worry last year about Logan being in love with her, things are much better for Sam this year. She has a full ride scholarship to Cain University, she will be doing track and running cross country for the team and her dad is getting married to Melinda. She is getting to know her birth father and her crazy mother is safely away where she can no longer hurt Sam.
The Hero: Mason – he is the star wide receiver for the Cain University football team and though he had issues with his best friend Nate last year, they are best friends again. His relationship with Sam is back on track and they are working at communicating better with each other after they each kept secrets from each other last year.
The Story: a new enemy emerged at Cain University for Mason. Park Sebastian was the leader of Nate’s old fraternity. Park had wanted to get to know Mason and use him in any way he could. Since Mason was the star of the college football team, and had been the same in high school, he was sick of people using him and wanted none of it. So, after Park and his fraternity tried to run down Mason with a truck and instead got Marissa, Mason burned down their frat house and got the frat ejected from the University. After that they were suspended for fighting (though Mason was able to finish his finals online). Now Mason and Sam are both attending Cain U along with Nate and Logan.
Sam and Mason still plan to keep some secrets from each other. From the start, Mason plans to keep his schemes against Sebastian Park from Sam to keep her out of the war between the two of them. Sam plans to keep anything Park does to get at Mason through her from Mason to try to keep him from retaliating and getting hurt or in trouble. Because Mason is a college athlete that is expected to go to the pro’s, he can’t get caught fighting on school grounds or get arrested for anything or he will get expelled, ruining his future.
The story in this book is much more involved than in previous books and got pretty deep. I enjoyed this one so much. I love this entire series, especially how Sam, Mason and Logan are such a tight family. This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Saskia Maarleveld and Graham Halstead. Saskia has a terrific voice and sounds very natural. She is great at doing different voices for different characters. I am not fond of Graham Halstead’s voice for Mason, but his voice was pretty good for Logan. Graham does sound natural and is a good narrator. I am getting more used to his voice and liking it more with each book.
