Lake Monroe has given in to her childhood tormentor too many times. She knows it, he knows it, and even their enemies know it. When he returned after being found guilty of a crime he didn’t commit—a crime he thought she set him up for, he returned darker than ever, demanding her body and her submission. To survive him, she knew she had to give in to fear once more or suffer the deadly consequences…

But Lake experienced what it was like to submit to the dark and demanding boy who invaded her dreams. Now she’ll experience what it’s like to fight him.

What happens when he wants more?

Keiran Masters has a past that is both shocking and dark. Once enslaved, he now has demons he can’t escape—demons that have followed him for ten years, demons he blames his beautiful obsession for. He promised to make her pay. He promised to make her break…

But after Keiran had conquered her body and tasted her submission, he found a new addiction instead—one he has no intention of giving up.

As secrets unfold,
Identities are revealed,
Danger closes in,
And they both discover what it really means to fear…

Fear You

Nice wrap up of Lake and Kieran’s story!

Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😕😊😄😘
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Lake Monroe – she was bullied by Kieran Masters for ten years and even bullied into a relationship with him, but still she fell in love with him. Until he broke up with her for her own good. He told her that he no longer wanted her. She ran and accidentally found out some news about her family that had been kept from her. She ended up betraying Kieran when something happened that she was sure he was responsible for but didn’t agree with.

The Hero: Kieran Masters – he had a terrible childhood; he was sold to a group of individuals who used him for nefarious purposes and turned him into a killer. He has been obsessed with Lake Monroe for years and has continually treated her horribly. He has control issues and definite anger management issues. His life is a mess after everything that happened at the end of the last book. His father whom he thought was dead, has reappeared and is now missing and has taken his uncle.

The Story: So much happened and was revealed at the end of the last book. We found out all about Kieran’s childhood and his family. Keenan is in the hospital and possibly dying, Kieran broke up with Lake and Lake has recently betrayed him. Sheldon found out Keened had cheated on her again and broke up with Keenan for good. Finally, Lake moved in with her aunt’s friends and may finish out high school in that district.

This one was good, but not quite as good as the first book. I was a bit disappointed that Kieran was still mean to Lake quite a bit in this book. I was mostly him pushing her away because he thinks she will be safer away from him, which is always a stupid reason in my opinion. There were still quite a few bad guys and lots of suspense in this book and of course there was plenty of steam. Kieran and Lake love to hook up (just about anywhere) and they are quite rough with each other.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton. These are two of my favorite narrators. Teddy Hamilton has a very relatable voice and is great at showing emotion through his voice. Ava Erickson has a nice soft, feminine voice which sounds age appropriate for Lake.
