The heroine: Elena – Elena works for a family with a wild daughter. Her and her friend aren’t invited to the Cinderella Ball for the Bachelor Beast reality show, but they have to sneak in to find the daughter before she is recognized. If the lady gets picked by the beast or hooks up with any man, then that guy is in danger from her family and Elena is supposed to make sure that doesn’t happen.

The Hero: Tane – he is an Atlan warrior who is the next one to be the Bachelor Beast. Though the producers of the reality show have gotten smarter after the first two beasts found their mates outside of the women who were selected for the show. Tane is the main event, but there are three other beasts and all of them are meeting hundreds of women at a Cinderella ball, with all the beasts dressed as prince charming. Though Tane knows as soon as he gets there that none of the women are his mate.

The Story: Warlord Tane knows that Elena is his mate the moment he sees her, and he immediately sweeps her off her feet and out onto the dance floor. I can’t say that I really loved the whole Cinderella/Prince Charming parallels. I wasn’t all that up on a massively huge muscular man in tights. Though I did like the story about Elena not being invited to the ball and sneaking in and leaving something behind when she had to run off.

I liked the characters, the steamy scenes and the fact that they were fighting against a villain who wanted to ruin them in a totally contemporary way. Though I didn’t like that they were pretty stupid about it all, when they knew the guy was up to something and out to take down the aliens, yet they just did what he wanted without thinking about it.

This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Tor Thom and Marlaina Garrett. Tor Thom has an extremely deep voice which is perfect for the large beastly alien males. Marlaina Garrett has a clear feminine voice which works well for Elena.
