Review: Dangerous Fling (Dangerous Noise, #4). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dangerous Fling by Crystal Kaswell

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

He’s her rock star crush, her go-to fantasy, and he’s offering to make all her dreams come true…

Rock star Malcolm Strong is used to being in control. Of the band. Of his feelings. Of the woman he has tied to his bed. He never gets close enough to get hurt. He never wants to.

Until Lacey. The sassy brunette is working on the band’s latest music video. Which means he shouldn’t be picturing her naked. He doesn’t mix business and pleasure, but there’s something about her quick wit and her soft curves –

Mal has to have her.

Lacey Waltz is dreaming. That’s the only explanation for a six foot three, inked up, rock star s*x god offering to be her fling. And not just any rock star. Mal. The guy with the piercing blue eyes and the breathy, tortured voice. The guy who’s poster hung on her dorm room wall for three years straight. The guy she thinks about every night when she… ahem.

Friends with benefits sounds perfect. The last thing Lacey needs is more heartbreak. But how is she supposed to be casual with the man she’s been fantasizing about for the last four years?

***Dangerous Fling is a full-length standalone romance set within the Dangerous Noise series.***

Romance: 💙🖤💚💖
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 😟🤭😤😘🥰

The heroine: Lacey – She has had a huge crush on Malcolm Strong for years and now she is working on one of the Dangerous Noise music videos. She is the assistant to the director of the video and one day she wants to be a director. So, no matter how much she adores Mal, his body and his body of work, she plans to be a professional on this job.

The Hero: Mal – he is the lead singer for the band Dangerous Noise, a “beautiful six-foot-three, musclebound, inked up rock star sex god”. He loves to be in control, whether it is in his band or in the bedroom. He likes BDSM though he doesn’t want a complicated relationship and has no intention of falling in love like his brother and other band mates. Sex is the only intimacy he has ever wanted with a woman.

The Story: When Mal shows up for the video shoot and the actress playing his love interest is late, Lacey has to act as stand in while her boss sets up the shoot. Mal and Lacey end up rolling around a bed for a while, and both of them are really into the scenes and have a ton more chemistry than Mal and the actress once she makes it to the set. Later, after everyone else leaves, Lacey shows Mal the footage and suggests he go a different way with the video than what the director is thinking. Mal hires Lacey to put some footage together so he can see how her vision looks.

The one thing I don’t really like about this book is the fact that Mal is so used to women falling for him and breaking their hearts because he isn’t able to love them back, that he knows that if he just tells Lacey he wants to be with her she will be willing. He is too confident for my liking even though he probably has a reason to be. He thinks he can’t fall in love so he isn’t afraid at all that he might be the one that gets hurt in a relationship even though he knows how much he wants her. I guess I just don’t like that inequality. Though I have to admit, it sure does make it good when Mal starts to have feelings for Lacey.
