Audiobook Review: Having Faith (Callaghan Brothers, #7). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Having Faith by Abbie Zanders

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sometimes the biggest obstacle to overcome is yourself. Kieran Callaghan has it all. As the sole remaining single male of the Callaghan clan, he is drawing a lot of female attention.

Not only is the former SEAL easy on the eyes and the poster boy for BodyWorks, the fitness center he owns/operates, but he is a genuinely nice guy with a white-knight complex. The only thing he doesn’t have is the one thing he wants most: a croie with which to share his life.

Faith O’Connell is a young, single mom hoping for a fresh start for her and her teenage son. Life hasn’t been easy, but they’ve managed. Once forced to live off the charity of others, she is determined to make it on her own.

When Kieran shows up on her doorstep, Faith is quite sure she’s met the perfect man. He might just be the best friend she’s ever had, and her son adores him. But they come from two vastly different worlds, and Faith knows it can’t be anything more.

She’s already been down that road once, and has the scars to prove it. Kieran doesn’t care about any of that. Faith is his. And he will convince her that when you find your croie, nothing else matters.

The heroine: Faith – She is a single mother of a thirteen-year-old son Matt. They hadn’t had an easy life and Faith was glad to see her son acting like a kid again. He’d had to grow up early and she hoped moving to Pine Ridge Pennsylvania would be good for him. Matts father never recognized him as a son and Faith’s parents disowned her when she turned up pregnant at fourteen. They drove their ancient car for over fifteen hours and would have their own small house, though it needs a lot of work.

The Hero: Kieran – he is the youngest of the Callaghan brothers and the last to find his Croie (his fated mate). He is a former Navy Seal who still works in covert ops for the government on a consulting basis with his brothers. Though they do less missions now that all his brothers are married. He also owns and operates a gym called BodyWorks. He is a nice guy and friendly to everyone in Pine Ridge where he, his six brothers and his father live.

The Story: Kieran had to go to one of their properties to verify the old house had working electricity and plumbing. Shane was selling the place that he bought to flip, and he had never gotten time to work on the old place, so he wanted Kieran to check the place out before the single mom and her kid got there. Kieran isn’t too thrilled about a single mom taking on a place like that, but it was what she wanted.

I liked the story, especially about the fact that Faith was so gun shy about believing Kieran would really love her since her experiences with love in the past had gone so bad, especially with her parents kicking her out at fourteen and pregnant. Kieran was a great character and I liked him so much even in the previous books, he was great with her son Matt as well.

This audiobook was done in dual points of view via solo narration. It was narrated by Aiden Snow, who is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a terrific voice, which is deep and soft. He is a great narrator and is perfect for a strong military man. I like dual or duet narration a lot better, though if you are going to have only one narrator, Aiden Snow is the one to have!
