The heroine: Olivia – she left her boyfriend Billy last year after spending a romantic Christmas together. He had a dangerous job and she gave him an ultimatum to choose between it and her. Though when he went on his next mission and said they would talk when he returned, she took that to mean he chose his job. So, Olivia took a job at Titan Technologies in Washington DC and left without saying anything to Billy. She has been the Public Relations director for the defense contracting firm ever since.

The Hero: Billy – He is in the military and works for HOT, a special ops Hostile Operations Team. He loves his job, but loved Olivia even more and was ready to give up his job to be with her when she gave him the ultimatum last year. But when she just left without a word, he was hurt and since then, that hurt has turned to anger.

The Story: After going to congress and detailing Titan Technologies breakthrough guidance systems, Olivia is certain that they will get the defense contract. Their tech is much better than any other on the market. However, after their Christmas party, she receives a disk which outlines the main developers notes that tell her the guidance system doesn’t work and the companies test results have been falsified. Olivia goes to her old boyfriend Billy for help.

I have to say, I hate it when the Hero is still using a childhood nickname like Billy. It makes him sound like a ten-year-old. By the time he is in the special ops in the military, he should be using Bill, Will or William. Though aside from that, the story isn’t bad, though this is a shorter book, so it is pretty quick. There isn’t any steam per se. The two main characters do hook up, but it isn’t explicit at all, just generalized. I did like both Characters, and Olivia was able to see that giving Billy the ultimatum she did was unfair to him and that she really wronged him when she left.

This audiobook was done in dual points of view via solo narration. It was narrated by Aiden Snow, who is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a terrific voice, which is deep and soft. He is a great narrator and is perfect for a strong military man. I like dual or duet narration a lot better, though if you are going to have only one narrator, Aiden Snow is the one to have!
