Her Cyborg Warriors by Grace Goodwin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Professional surfer Mikki Tanaka didn’t want to leave her beloved Hawaii, the ocean waves, or the vibrant sea life she’s worked so hard to protect. But her protests and aggressive tactics didn’t mesh with the law and she’s found herself behind bars. Her choice? Ten years in jail or life as an Interstellar Bride. Never one to shy away from adventure, she decides to take her chances in the stars—with not one, but two sexy-as-hell alpha warriors on The Colony.
Her Cyborg Warriors
Surnen, a Prillon Warrior and trusted doctor, has been waiting for a bride for years. Banished to The Colony, he’s given up all hope, until a black-haired Earth beauty instantly steals his heart and his breath. But the highly disciplined doctor likes protocols and control, in bed and out of it. His second and an equally ruthless warrior, Captain Trax, agrees. Unfortunately, their new mate has a wild streak, a thirst for danger, and an appetite for violence that both shocks and thrills them. When her penchant for stirring up trouble brings danger to The Colony, they’ll stop at nothing to save her.
Nothing at all.
Pro surfer meets two dominant aliens!

Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Mikki – she is a professional surfer and an environmental scientist who was put in jail for destruction of property when she blew holes in empty whaling ships. Now she has the choice between staying in jail on Earth or signing up for the Interstellar Brides program. Though she doesn’t want to leave Hawaii and the ocean, she really has no choice if she wants to be free anytime soon. So, she signs up for the program and is immediately matched with two men from the Colony.
The Heroes: Surnen and Captain Trax – They are Prillon warriors and Surnen is a doctor on the Colony. They were hard alien warriors who had fought the Hive, been captured and escaped. Surnen is primary and he is very dominant, always wanting control in everything he does. Trax is a ferocious warrior and is Surnen’s second.
The Story: Surnen was busy trying to perfect a treatment for a bacterium that has been infecting the Colony and the Coalition Fleet when Trax came to tell him that they had to go to get something on the incoming transfer pod. Surnen was too busy to take the time to inventory whatever it was that came in, so Trax told him he would be requesting to be primary if Surnen didn’t want to be there when their bride came to the Colony. Surnen was surprised to find that he was matched and had a bride now.
There was a lot of importance that Surnen put on following protocols, since his parents had been killed when they didn’t follow proper protocols. He was extremely proper and wanted to do everything by the book. Mikki fought against that but eventually understood his reasons and the fact that it was sometimes necessary. The story was good on this one, I liked how dominant the men were but how they also understood her need to work in the field she was trained.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Cosmo Ravello, C.J. Mission and Lena Lee. Lena has a great voice, feminine and clear, which is very pleasant and age appropriate for this book. C.J. Mission has a nice voice and is a veteran narrator who always does a great job. Cosmo Ravello was new to me, but he has a deep voice which matched Surnen’s personality well.
