My rating: 4 of 5 stars
From New York Times bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a sexy, complete standalone, Contemporary Romance.
Wish
If I could wish for one thing, it would be to have never met my ex. He took my money, cheated on me, and saddled me with an impossible mortgage.
Now, just as I’m fighting to put my life back together, I find an unusual bottle with a note inside: “You get one wish. Make it count.” Har har. Someone’s idea of a joke?
But nothing could prepare me for what comes next or for the screamin’ hot man with piercing blue eyes who shows up at my door, making demands.
I should slam the door in his sex-god face, because this guy has trouble written all over him. But I can’t. Suddenly I do have a wish…
Mystery man!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 🤨😟😳😍
The heroine: Ginnie Angelico – she is an artist and a businesswoman. She makes one-of-a-kind glass mosaics with glass she finds at garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores. She has a broken heart, a struggling business and is in some severe financial straits due to her cheating ex-boyfriend Greg.
The Hero: Mr. Wish – he is 6 feet 4 inches of handsome muscular hotness. He drives a black Mercedes and tends to be a bit grumpy.
The Story: Ginnie is out looking for glass for her art and she comes across an old bottle that she really likes and wants to keep for herself. However, a handsome man takes it right out of her hand and leaves with it in his black Mercedes. Then she finds the same glass bottle on the shelves of a thrift store later and ends up buying it. Though after that she keeps seeing a black Mercedes everywhere she goes. Also, she finds a note in the bottle that gives her one wish. But Ginnie doesn’t believe in things like wishes.
As usual, Mimi Jean included a ton of humor in this book. The premise was definitely an original and an awesome one. I can think of about a hundred million things I would like to wish for. Although the note has a bunch of stipulations about the wish, it was almost like a legal contract. So, it was hard to tell if this was a paranormal story or just a story about an eccentric billionaire giving away wishes to random people. Either way it was a fun story.
Mr. Wish’s back story turns out to be a fascinating tale and was so original and unpredictable. I just love a book that can surprise you in that way. I swear everything I guessed about his background was completely wrong, not even close to what it turned out to be. Though it certainly held my interest, and I liked the way everything came out. It was told all from Ginni’s point of view which definitely kept up the mystery around Mr. Wish. I also liked the way it was both realistic and magical.
