Audiobook Review: Dragon Squeeze (Dragon Point, #2). ⭐️⭐️

Dragon Squeeze by Eve Langlais

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Did you know geeky humans squeak when squeezed? Totally awesome. Adi thinks there are plenty of things that are awesome, such as gravy and cheese on fries, motorcycles that growl, oh, and the fact that she is a wicked dragon with a freakishly cool power. But do you know what’s more awesome than all that? A certain geeky fellow in charge of the IT department for a medical lab situated in small-town hell.

There is nothing small about Dexter, though. He might blush at certain things, and use his brain – not brawn – to succeed, but the man is built big. And Adi likes big things. The fact that she likes him won’t mean squat to her mother, though. Dear old Mom will hate that he is human. She will dislike Adi’s plan to keep him even more. Because he’s mine to keep and squeeze.

Dragon Squeeze

I was bored.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗
World building: 🌏🌍🌏
Character development: ☺️🤭
Narration: 🎙🎙
Narration Type: Solo Narration

The Hero: Dexter – he was a human IT geek at recently got a job at Lytropia institute. He is a large man and somewhat broody. He is also a bit staid and boring. He drives a car from the 1980’s, and is rooming in a place where the elderly owner is totally against premarital sex. Though he is attracted to cute little the pixie that he meets, named Adi.

The heroine: Adi – fraternal twin sister to Aimi from Becoming Dragon and an elite white dragon shifter. She was the researcher of their family; she was good with computers and is as quirky as she is intelligent. She also has a huge adventurous streak and has less than a year before she is considered a spinster at 28. When female dragons become 28 and aren’t married, they have to live at home for the rest of their days and serve as breeders (artificially inseminated of course). To keep their line strong. Adi wants out from under her mother’s thumb.

The Story: Adi is sure that Lytropia institute is a front for Theo Parker and Bittech which is now defunct. At the very least she is sure that Lytropia is also doing experiments on shifters and continuing the genetic experiments they were doing at Bittech. She wants to prove it and opens a hair and nail salon near LI and is trying her hardest to get into Dexters pants as a part of her investigation. Though dragons and humans don’t mix, so when her dragon wants to keep him, she doesn’t know what to do.

I got the first three audiobooks in this series on audible plus and I am not sure if it was my mood, the storylines or the narration, but I don’t think I will listen to the next book. I was bored enough where I kept missing parts and I usually really like dragon shifter stories.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via solo narration. It was narrated by Chandra Skye. She does a fine job but is not one of my favorite narrators. The whisper voice she uses for their inner beasts is not my favorite and I just like male narrators to much to really enjoy an audiobook with only a female narrator.
