Paint It All Red by S.T. Abby
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Hush, little baby, don’t say a word . . .
Paint It All Red
Will Logan choose them? Or will we watch them burn together?
It’s time to f–k with their minds. It’s time to finish it all. It’s time to paint it all red . . .
Monsters don’t usually wish for happily-ever-afters.
Perfect ending to a fantastic series.

Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Lana Myers – she is a serial killer who is getting revenge on the town that was responsible for destroying and torturing her family. She is in love with the FBI agent who has been in charge of hunting her. She went through hell ten years ago and is determined to kill everyone on her kill list.
The Hero: Logan Bennett – He is the FBI agent and profiler that is in charge of the manhunt for the Scarlet Slayer, a serial killer who has been killing men who all come from the same small town. In the process of the investigation, he has learned that both the town sheriff and the FBI agent that investigated another serial killer ten years ago are corrupt and have been hiding some crimes of their own.
The Story: At the end of the last book, Logan found out new information about Lana’s past and her ties to the town that they are investigating. He is a good man who lives by a set of morals and an idea of justice which doesn’t allow him to understand what she has done. Yet Lana still has an endgame that she has been planning and it is a doozy.
The series was better than I expected, though very different. Given the name of the books and the series, I expected something totally different, but was pleasantly surprised by the whole FBI profiler investigations into the different serial killers. Not to mention the fact that Lana is a serial killer who is so likable, and the real bad guys are the ones that she has been after. It is such a morally gray area when the victims of a killer are as far from victims as you can get. Like with Dexter, I was really hoping she would get her revenge and kill all those people that really deserved nothing less. With what they had all done, jail was definitely too good for them.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Marie Hawkins and TJ Clark. Marie Hawkins has a very nice voice and I like her more as the series progresses. TJ Clark has a nice gravelly voice which isn’t as deep as I usually like, and he is great at doing different voices for different characters.
