Audiobook Review: The Wolf’s Bandit (Howls Romances, #5). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Wolf’s Bandit by Milly Taiden

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Robyn Loxley is determined to save every homeless child she can find, even if she has to break the law to do it. Since the royal foundation rudely turned her down, her target has become their crown jewels. She needs only one more job before she’s done for good.
Wolf shifter Aitan Hansen is the crown prince of a small country where he runs his royal foundation and takes care of his shifter town. He comes to the U.S. to find who has been stealing his family heirlooms. He’s completely unprepared to meet his mate, especially when he suspects her of being the thief.
With the opportunity to score a lucrative piece of artwork, Robyn jumps at the chance. The problem is Aitan isn’t the only one interested in her night job. Her black-market dealer doesn’t want to share profits any longer and he’ll do whatever needed to get her latest heist, even taking her with the merchandise.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😠☺️😋
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Solo Narration

The heroine: Robyn Loxley – she runs a company that provides secure armored transport banks and museums. She plans to steal the crown jewels in order to use the money to save homeless children. She had asked the Royal foundation for funds, but they turned her down, so she was determined they still foot the bill for her work.

The Hero: Aiten Hanson – he was a wolf shifter and the crown prince of a small country where he runs the royal foundation. He is in the states to look into who has been stealing some of his country’s heirlooms. He was responsible for continuing to bring the shifters and humans in his country into the current century.

The Story: Aiten visits Robyn’s company to find the person responsible for stealing his grandmother’s tiara and a ruby ring three years ago. He was following leads and ended up at Safe Journey’s Inc., Robyn’s company. He knew immediately upon scenting Robyn that he wanted her, and she obviously wanted him as well.

Obviously, this is a retelling of Robin Hood, though it was very loosely based on the original story, it did have to do with stealing from the rich (Insurance companies) and giving to the poor, so there is that. I liked the basis of this, though it was a bit of a stretch at times. There were also some big coincidences that were a bit unbelievable. The story was ok but could have been richer.

This book is told in dual points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Elle Sonali. She has a clear feminine voice which is very pleasant, though she doesn’t sound as natural as some narrators, you can tell she is reading.
