Possessed by Presley Hall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
My sister found love with a dashing alien warrior, but I’m too practical for something like that to ever happen to me.
Possessed
Right?
Now that Nadia is happily settled into her new life with Zatir, I’m not quite sure what to do with myself. I was the protective older sibling for so long, I’ve forgotten who I am besides that.
I need to make my own life on this strange new planet. Need to figure out how I fit in here.
So when a natural disaster strikes a remote village on Kalix, I volunteer to go help with the rescue mission. I want to pay back a little of the debt I owe these fierce alien warriors.
But I didn’t know he would be coming too. Vrale. The brawny Kalixian who always seems to get under my skin in a way that no one else can.
He’s older than most of the other warriors, and there’s something about his quiet, stoic demeanor that draws me to him. He’s haunted by something from his past, although I don’t know what it is. And even though he’s not looking for a mate any more than I am…
Sometimes fate has other plans.
Possessed is a full-length standalone sci-fi romance featuring hot alien gladiators with huge… horns, a down-to-earth heroine who learns to let go, and a jaded warrior who gets a second chance at love.
Alien earthquakes!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 😠😚😁☺️
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Brielle – she is sister to Nadia from Pursued. She worked in a law office and she raised Nadia after their parents died. She was always very responsible and got overprotective when Nadia was hurt by an ex. After being abducted by aliens and rescued by the Kalixians, she decided to stay on Kalix, though she mostly stayed in her apartment and didn’t go out much. However, after Nadia was mated to Zatir and moved in with him, Brielle decided to get out more.
The Hero: Vrale – he works as a military trainer, and was mated to his sweetheart when they were pretty young. He loved her and when she died, he grieved her and still does. He never thought he would have another fated mate. He had heard that it happened before, but thought it was mostly myth. So when he met Brielle he wanted to be friends with her.
The Story: When there is an earthquake in a Kalixian village, volunteers are needed for the rescue and recovery. Brielle decides this is something she can help with so she goes along with a bunch of Kalixian males to the town. Immediately her and Vrale start talking and becoming friends, but when they touch, they both know they are fated mates.
Though Vrale doesn’t know what to feel since he is so surprised, having never thought it would happen to him again. So it takes a while before things start to heat up between them. I do love how much they talk and how they truly become friends before much happens. I also liked the earthquake storyline, it was different but good, especially when the two of them end up in a dangerous situation.
This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Meg Price and C.J. Grey. I like both of their voices and they both do a terrific job in the narration. Though it was dual narration, they both have good voices for the opposite sex and this was an easy listen. I also liked the fact that Vrale wasn’t so much still grieving his mate that died, but more afraid to love again because of the loss.
