Such a crazy couple!
The following ratings are out of 5:
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌏
Character development: ☺️😟😍😉
The heroine: Sasha – Sasha was escaping the city with Claudia and Kael (Claudia’s dragon mate) when Sasha falls at a terrible time. Claudia has a choice to try to save Sasha or her sister Amy. Claudia chooses her sister and Sasha is left to fend for herself with a broken arm and broken ribs against a dragon.
The Hero(s): Dakh – A crazed dragon who finds Sasha hurt and alone. He likens his madness to evil ravens flying around in his mind tempting him to kill and destroy. When he sees Sasha as his mate, he starts to think clearly for the first time in ages.
The Story: Dakh takes Sasha to his nest which is the top floor of a high rise near her former home. They can’t communicate so they learn to be together without being able to say more than each others names.
I have now read 4 books in this series and am liking it a lot, though there are things I am over after the first few books. First is the fact that they can’t communicate until they are mated. It is fine, but I wish the females would know this ahead of time so that they can give it up a bit sooner in order to be able to talk to the guys.
The other thing is the fact that the males walk around naked all the time. It does make sense in a way since any clothes they wear would be destroyed when they shift and the fact that they are always warm since they are dragons. However, I just can’t get on the nudist wagon. It is too weird for me.
The narration was great again, Noelle Bridges and Jeremy York both do a terrific job. I liked the storyline about Sasha not caring for intimacy after being abused and mistreated. It was a bit funny how Dakh kept trying to figure Sasha out and romance her since the Drakoni mating revolves around the female fighting the male to show her interest.
