My Dark Tormentor by Melody Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Sophia
The memory of Iwan falling to the ground is imprinted in my brain. But no matter how much I protest against Iwan’s bodyguards driving me from the scene to an unknown future, the armored limousine rolls on and on. I don’t know what will happen to me now. I don’t know if I’ll ever see Iwan again. The man who abducted and tortured me is probably dead and instead of feeling relief, I feel a deep loss that breaks me apart.
Iwan
It’s no fun to be shot. When the second bullet knocks me down, I know my life is forfeit. My only consolation is that my Sophia is safe. I see the limousine move away from the scene. My men will take care of her. I just wish I had confessed to her how much I love her. This is my only regret before the world around me turns black.
BLURB: My Dark Tormentor
Hot and Heavy

I enjoyed this book. It was only 75 pages so it is pretty quick, but long enough for a good story with plenty of Steam. This book takes off where My Dark Captor ends. It threw me for a loop a few times, which I liked. I thought it was going one way, then it flipped and went another.
In the first book, Iwan kidnapped Sophie while burglarizing the house where she and her husband lived. It turned out he was a very dominant man with a bit of a sadistic streak and he wanted her as soon as he saw her, so he took her. Before the end of the last book, she learned that the man she was married to, Peter Kingsley, was into some bad stuff. He was using his foundation to help kids, and he was helping himself to some of the kids.
Between that and the fact that Sophie likes pain, she turned from hostage to willing victim fairly quickly. I don’t want to give away much of the plot or any spoilers, but Sophie grows closer to her bodyguards, Alex and Marco in this book and becomes stronger.
I enjoyed this as a nice break between longer books with extremely involved storylines. This was easy to read and though it included some BDSM, it wasn’t only about the sexy scenes. Like the last book, it ends with a stunning cliffhanger. So I can’t wait to find out what happens.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
