Heart of the Devil by Meghan March
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Bravo. Great ending to a killer trilogy.
This third book was really good. It started off with a bang and the action didn’t stop. Quite a bit happened in this one. Of course the road was not smooth for Jericho and India just because they were starting to admit feelings for each other in the last book.
There was still Jericho’s revenge against Bastien for killing his mentor Isaac. And Bastien or possibly someone else, had tried to frame India for dealing drugs and had messed with the helicopter, possibly trying to kill her. Also, someone had Kidnapped Jericho while India was in the poker Tournament.
India also has to meet her father who has been a shadowy figure dealing with Jericho prior to the start of this book. All of these things get nicely wrapped up before the end of the book, with a few twists and turns in between. Though it goes fast and it is just as fun as the first two books.
One thing I love about this story is the names (or nicknames). Such as Ace, Goliath, Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, and lets not forget the Kraken, which is the nickname India gave to a certain part of Jericho’s anatomy. I had to highlight almost every mention of the Kraken because they are so hilarious and I just know I will look back on them later and laugh my head off. *chuckling now just thinking about some of those.
