Misted by Rina Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Definitely the best book so far
This book was the best in the series so far. It was definitely the most romantic and the romance between the two main characters, Mist and Hawk was unbelievably passionate and explosive. I give it 5 steamy stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I am certainly seeing Mist is a new light after reading this book. In the past books she was seen as a Mafia Madam, Ghosts #2 who is detoxing with him, the woman Shadow refers to as an “old hag” even though he is older.
This book shows that Mist is still pretty young and she is shown in flashbacks from the time she was first kidnapped at thirteen. It shows how her and Hawk met in the Pit and came together and fell in love and what happened between them to pull them apart. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but there is plenty of assassin action in the book.
There is intrigue, Mist has a stalker who is using her feelings for Hawk against her. The stalker is determined to keep them apart and to ruin her life. This book also shows more about the Pit as an organization and Hades makes an appearance. I really can’t understand why this group of top assassins can’t kill Hades, but I wish they would. Apparently he surrounds himself with security or something, but all of Team Zero seem to have minions that they trained and the people they trained have minions, and so on. Since they all hate Hades, you would think they could get all the minions together and get rid of him.
This book also introduced Ink who was brought up in the last book but in this book he was a larger presence. I hope the next book is about him because he seems fascinating. He is smart, has a lot of minions, is very handsome and Hades can’t break him. So he sounds brilliant and I can’t wait to hear his story.
